Puntarenas
Before arriving at Tortuga Island, we will attempt to spot dolphins in the Gulf of Nicoya, followed by an explanation of a World War II shipwreck, whose rear can still be seen at low tide. The boat will then pass through the Negritos Island Biological Reserve, where we will attempt to spot spider monkeys, which live on the island in their natural habitat.
Tortuga Island
Around 2 minutes close to Tortuga Island, you'll be taken to a rock or islet near your final destination for snorkeling, where you'll enjoy a moment underwater while marveling at the beauty of the marine life you can see. At the end of this activity, you'll be taken to Tortuga Island, where upon arrival, you'll be given fruit and then a delicious lunch, so you can enjoy the rest of the day with the best possible energy.

Great break from the hustle and bustle. Mario picked us up and dropped us off back at the cruise ship (at the end of the day). Snorkeling was surprisingly good but too short (water was a bit choppy). Couldn't find monkeys, but did see dolphins, wild boar, deer, birds, fish, etc. Beautiful warm water on Tortuga Island and a lovely beach. Great lunch. Yummy fruit snacks, Costa Rican coffee and a cool fruity beverage back at the headquarters before getting back to the ship at the end of the day. SUPER chill....

Great day out! Well organised and safety conscious. We enjoyed the snorkeling stop, the island was lovely and relaxing ( sunbeds not included and cost around 20 dollars to hire for 2 people.) Lunch, fruit, biscuits, coffee provided through the day and a lovely fresh drink in Coco's bar on our return. Highly recommended, thanks.

Excellent boat tour with very knowledgeable staff that had a lot of fun facts as it pertain to the tour as well as their years of aquatic experience. The food was good and filling, and the time on the island was very relaxing. We did not see any dolphins, but saw a handful of spider monkeys. My only word of caution is that in East La Tortuga while swimming I was brushed by a jellyfish on my leg, I think I was the only person on the whole island to have that happened to them, but something to keep in mind. Would recommend this tour company very much. Small intimate group with lots of respect for the ecosystem.

Excellent experience, we had a hard time finding the dolphins but in the end the goal was met, the monkeys also found them and the rest on the beach, great.

Great tour. OJ was our guide and he couldn’t have been better or more caring about everyone on the tour. Great food at the beach including cookies and coffee later. Super beach and neat set up. The wild animals we saw were also a real treat.

Great time, great company. We didn't see any dolphins, the water (which was calm) had poor visibility for snorkeling, the weather was perfect for us (Nov. 10, 2025) our guide OJ was great and very knowledgeable. Learned alot about the islands, rivers, animal's, people and culture. Took a short hike on the island which was $12 US. Had lunch on a floating restaurant with great food. Perfect amount of time.

I went on this trip full of expectations and they were all fulfilled! The staff is friendly, the landscape during the ferry trip (approx 40 mins) is amazing, and the beach vibes are peaceful and relaxing. The trip includes fresh fruits, lunch, coffee and biscuits. We @ also had a stop for snorkeling and swimming with lots of colorful fish. Totally recommended if you love the sea, the beach and want to fully relax in a paradisiac place for a day!
