  I really enjoyed my cooking class at Ketut's Balinese Cooking Class. Six of us, of different nationalities, were collected from our various hotels and taken to a village outside Ubud. We walked around Pejeng Market, tried some produce, and were shown the type of ingredients we would be using. On arrival at the cooking school, we were welcomed with a welcome drink. Then we were given a demonstration of how we would be making all of the dishes we would be preparing and eating. Everything was extremely well organised and we all made our own individual meals, then sat down together to eat all the dishes. Since I had not had a special meal the previous day, this became my special Christmas meal, just a day late.

  Our day started with a visit to the market. We learned about Balinese spices, fruits, vegetables and sauces. Then, we had a fun, guided, hands on cooking part of the class. The place is extremely organized and clean, the class flow was perfect. The setting of a beautiful courtyard, with Balinese music playing in the background was beautiful and relaxing. The food turned out wonderfully, very tasty. Ketut and his family have made it a great experience.

  I joined the Ubud Hands-on Chef Bali cooking class in September, and it was an absolutely amazing experience. The class was very interactive and truly hands-on, allowing participants to be involved from start to finish. The chef explained every step clearly and patiently, making it easy to follow even for beginners. The menu options were very complete, including both vegetarian and non-vegetarian menus, so everyone could choose according to their preferences. All ingredients were fresh and high quality, and the kitchen was clean and comfortable. In addition to learning authentic Balinese cooking techniques, the atmosphere was fun and enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic cooking experience in Ubud.

The Balinese chef guided us step by step with patience and clear explanations, sharing not only cooking techniques but also cultural stories behind each dish. It was a great learning experience for both adults and children. One of the best things about this class is the complete menu with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Everyone in our family could enjoy cooking dishes that suited their preferences. The ingredients were fresh, and the traditional Balinese spices made every dish flavorful and authentic. The location in Ubud is peaceful and beautiful, creating a relaxed atmosphere that is perfect for a family activity. The kitchen was clean, well organized, and comfortable. After cooking, we enjoyed eating the food together, and everything tasted delicious. It was very satisfying to enjoy meals we cooked ourselves.   So much fun great organisation from the team helping us to create wonderful food with a great fun atmosphere too. All relaxed and filling a trip to the market in the morning we had all our meals finished in time for lunch. I say skip lunch and come here and cook your own it’s great value family time.

  We were a group of 5 women from California and we loved everything about this class. From the pick up to the market place and learning all about the fruits, vegetables etc. to the cooking class. The cooking kitchen was clean, airy, and well lit. We got all the recipes and hope to make it back home. Thank you for the wonderful experience and we would highly recommend Ketut's cooking class to all who visit Ubud, Bali.
