Minnewater Lake
What does minnewater mean? This is the Dutch name for the lake, which is made up of two Dutch words: minne, which means both "common" and "love", and water, which means "water". Thus, the most correct translation would mean translating the word minne as "common", since these were the "common waters, community waters, everyone's water" since it was where the old port of Bruges was located, a site closely linked to the city and the daily life of its citizens.
The Princely Beguinage Ten Wijngaarde
The beguinage is one of the most representative complexes of Bruges, a prelude to what you will find in this magical city, an environment anchored in the Middle Ages immersed in a sea of tranquility. In addition, it is declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

A successful and very informative city tour with the guide Eddy. He was able to convey many unknown historical details to us. He had an enormous knowledge of Bruges and you could feel the joy of his work. We have learned a great deal about Bruges and its people. The boat trip through the canals was another highlight of the city tour. This was also accompanied by the boatmaster in German. It was worth taking this tour with a boat trip. We can recommend them without restriction! Thank you, dear Eddy!

Even though it was raining, we still loved the tour. Peter was a great tour guide. He was witty and very knowledgeable. After the walking tour we could do the boat and drinking as it met our schedule which worked out great.

Excellent overview of, and introduction to, Bruges. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and spoke English well, so no issues with understanding. She made sure the group stayed together and tried to accommodate all stops for pictures etc.

Maria was both good and factual on the tour. The fact that she loves chocolate and Bruges makes her the perfect guide. Boat trip and beer tasting was great.

It’s a three part experience - a very pleasant and informative walking tour, a fun boat excursion with an entertaining captain and beer tasting. I made it through the first two before jet lag caused me to not taste beer?

Great walking tour with a lot of entertaining and interesting information. A tremendous amount of behind the scenes information! While there was a lot of information, it wasn't overwhelming and I never felt hurried..
