Experience our beautiful motu in comfort as we take you on an unforgettable tour. Our spacious 4WD whisks you away to the stunning and less-accessible parts of the island that some tours don't go.
The Waiheke Island Experience includes breathtaking vistas across the Hauraki Gulf, beautiful beaches and some of the best venues the island has to offer. We can discuss options with you to ensure you get to do what interests you most.
Our 4WD vehicle is ideal for couples or small groups (max 4 people) and we happily take children if you can provide any vehicle safety equipment they may need.
The tour starts at 10.45 am and ends at 3.45 pm unless otherwise arranged.

What To Expect
Waiheke Island
We like to be flexible and give our guests ownership of their tour so if you wish to swap out any of the stops below for another venue, we are open to that and are happy to discuss either prior to, or on the day of, your tour. Stop times are estimated so there may be options to add an extra venue if we are running early.

5.00Wonderful day! The weather was great and the scenery was amazing! Beautiful wineries with good wines…. Only was knowledgeable and well connected. We were able to see ALOT of the island and experienced a variety of things.

5.00Steve gave us a fantastic experience in Waiheke. He met us promptly at the ferry, answered hundreds of our questions, had tons of local knowledge and insight and charm. He obviously enjoys what he does and is proud of his island paradise. We never felt rushed nor neglected. The Man of War beach and wine tasting were off the beaten path (no exaggeration there) but a wonderful experience. He took us to the best ice cream shop on the island and then dropped us off at the Mudbrick winery where we had arranged to dine. But not before touring us through the property so we knew our way around. There were four of us touring and we were comfortable in his SUV. He was very accommodating throughout the day. We would highly recommend Steve. Great value for your money.

5.00Steve our personal guide and owner of Freedomtours was wonderful, very informative, flexible to your personal itinerary. Nothing was too much trouble. Plus he has a nice airconditioned 4×4 to whizz you about Waiheke. I thoroughly reccomend you use him for your next visit to the island.
