The walk to the castle on the rock is worth the hike down and the "climb up". History, views, and wonder.

Borja was a great guide with so much passion for the Basque culture. We learned so much about both Basque and world history especially during the last stop in Gurnica. Borja was very animated and detailed and full of energy through the day even though he had to repeat everything twice in English and Spanish. Bermeo was a beautiful spot for lunch. And the hike was intense especially the steep path back to the parking lot at the end. There is some pressure to keep the pace with the group but understandably considering there are two more stops and a schedule to keep. It was a long day but very worth the experience.
