Statue of Nils Ericson
The statue of Nils Ericson in Stockholm honors the Swedish engineer renowned for modernizing the country’s railways and canals. Located outside Stockholm Central Station, the bronze sculpture portrays Ericson in a dignified stance, symbolizing progress and innovation. Created by sculptor John Börjeson in 1893, it serves as a tribute to Ericson’s contributions to Sweden’s infrastructure and transportation development.

Erik did a great job. He knew his history very well which is so important for these local tours. Loved the Stockholm center review. I would have liked to see a bit more of Gamlastan although I understand this was not the focus of the tour.

A very nice experience in different areas of Stockholm. We had a walk near the central train station, talked about the recent history of the city. We recommend it to anyone who wants something relaxing and informative. Thank you!

I highly recommend this tours to discover more about swedish culture, city structure, citizens habits and much more! The guide was professional, on time and never boring. Super interesting. If possible, join during the first days of your stay in the city, so that you still have time to follow all the suggestions they give you during the tour to explore more.

Very nice and interesting tour with guide Stefan. It was a perfect introduction to my trip in Stockholm, as you learn a lot about the orientation, the major buildings and the history and actuality of the city and the country. The group was small, wich made it very comfortable and the guide also took his time to let us ask a lot of questions. Recommended!

This City tour needs a complete refresh. It took 45 mins to go from central station via city hall to the second spot. The route was long and largely boring. A new starting point would improve the walk. There was moderate historical and cultural knowledge from the guide but we could have gotten that sitting down in one spot. He had a head piece microphone that he strangely wore around his neck. This meant he fiddled with it alot and information was hard to hear. Very few sites/locations were pointed out and when they were, not much description of the building or place was provided. When we visited the art work/sculpture for the man who saved 10,000 jews during the war he could not tell us the symbolism of each of the pieces, did not point out the signature nor ball. All this I found out for myself on the internet aftewards. I wouldn't normally mind but I did ask about the art work and he said he could not find anything about it on the internet??🤔 My husband & I have been on a number of 'free' walking tours in Europe and this one was the least enjoyable and is nothing like it is described. Really poor. So skip this one but definitely do the Gamla Stan one. The women who run that tour were outstanding!

We met Stefan easily, outside the train station and he gave us a wonderful mainly waterside tour taking in the city hall, Parliament buildings, Prime Minister’s official residence, the Royal Palace, the Opera House and many more interesting buildings and gardens. It was a really sunny day and quite hot - as you can see from the photos!

Very knowledgeable guide. Spoke about the history and culture of Sweden. Use of the iPad to show pictures and explain certain points wasn't great, as it was hard to see in the sunlight.

Excellent introduction of the contemporary part of the city with the right mix of story and walking. Our guide was superb and told us a lot of anecdotal story that made the tour less museum-like and more alive.
