The Band Rotunda, a Wellington landmark since its original construction in 1938, has been closed since 2012 as it requires extensive strengthening and restoration work. Originally named by its first Polish resident Dupa as Wellington’s bottom as the area was used for processing whales and boiling blubber for oil So named after one of the earliest ships that delivered engineers and town planners from the New Zealand company that arrived after 1840

5.00If you are looking for a truly unique tour through Wellington and the surrounding area, Kosher tours is the right place for you. We were guided by Dave, a local with profound knowledge and a great sense of humour, who showed us so many beautiful places and told us lots of interesting facts about Wellington and New Zealand's history. We could have happily spent more than five hours with Dave.

5.00We had Aaron as our guide - excellent communication confirming where and when to meet before the tour, and highly informative throughout the tour - giving us snippets of information and insights only a real local would know. Tour lasted approximately 5 hours. Would definitely recommend - and you may be lucky to get Aaron!

5.00What a wonderful way to spend a day in Wellington. Our tour guide John was outstanding! He was friendly, knowledgeable and just an overall pleasant person to spend the day with. We truly enjoyed our tour and learned so much. We felt it was a fantastic way to get an overall view of Wellington since we were only here for 2 days.

5.00What a thorough tour! Wonderful day! Very knowledgeable guide who was totally unimpressed with the very challenging driving--handled it like a professional driver. We saw so much more being in a small van than we would have in a large bus. A local with a sense of humour & professional demeanor.
