In this hands-on workshop participants are introduced to some of the basic concepts behind modeling objects in wood. You will become acquainted with the necessary tools and learn basic carving techniques. Under the watchful eye of an instructor, each person will carve a simple object. All tools and materials are provided.

5.00My wife and I participated in this workshop and we had a wonderful experience! Our teacher, Ketut, was kind, patient and very supportive. We took our time and enjoyed every moment of chipping away the block of wood to end up with a truly beautiful product. I would recommend anyone that has an interest in art or woodwork should try this out. This is a beginner level so anyone can give it a try. Woodcraft is a big part of Balinese culture and we have a newfound respect for the hard work that goes into sculpting these works of art by hand. Thank you Ketut and ARMA for providing us with a fantastic experience!
