Catacombs Of Kom El Shoqafa
Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa are one of the most important ancient burial sites in Alexandria and are considered the largest Roman cemetery in Egypt. They date back to the 2nd century AD, during the Roman period. The catacombs are famous for their unique mix of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman styles, which reflects the cultural diversity of Alexandria at that time. The site consists of several underground levels carved into the rock and was used as a family tomb. Visitors enter through a spiral staircase leading down to the main burial chambers. Inside, you can see decorated niches for coffins, statues, and carvings combining Egyptian gods with Roman artistic elements. The Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa offer a fascinating insight into ancient burial traditions and the rich history of Alexandria.

5.00I visited Alexandria this the best tourism company in the world and it was an unforgettable experience. The city is impressive: its beaches, pleasant climate and Mediterranean Sea make one feel relaxed. I loved the history of the city, especially the Library of Alexandria and the Lighthouse, which has enormous historical value. The food was also delicious; I tasted fresh seafood that I will never forget. Alexandria combines history, culture and natural beauty, and I understand why they call her "the bride of the sea very much thanks to the Egyptian living reality ♥️✨🙏
