Black Desert
the black desert is a region of volcano-shaped and widely spaced mounds, distributed along about 30 km in western Egypt between the White Desert in the south and the Bahariya Oasis in the north. Most of its mounds are capped by basalt sills, giving them the characteristic black color,
The Crystal Mountain is a crystal ridge located between Bahariya Oasis and Farafra Oasis
White Desert
White Desert National Park is a national park in Egypt, first established as a protected area in 2002. It is located in the Farafra depression, 45 km north of the town of Farafra. Part of the park is in the Farafra Oasis (New Valley Governorate). The park is the site of large white chalk rock formations, created through erosion by wind and sand. It is also the site of cliffs (at the northern end of the Farafra Depression), sand dunes (part of the Great Sand Sea), as well as Wadi Hennis and oases at Ain El Maqfi and Ain El Wadi. The highest point in the park is at El Qess Abu Said (353 m above sea level) and the lowest is at Wadi Hennis (32m). The park serves as the refuge for various animals, including the endangered Rhim gazelle and the vulnerable Dorcas gazelle, as well as Barbary sheep; jackals; Rüppell's, Red, and Fennec foxes; and Sand cats.

If you have a spare two days available, you can do this tour. We did other tours in Egypt which were ALOT better! Zero luxury, not that friendly service. Kept pressuring me to write a review. Stargazing and white desert are the best bits. A lot of driving in a cramped van. They split us into small groups which ruined the fun. On the way back, they drop you in downtown rather than hotel, not ideal at all.

It was really beautiful to see the desert and all the natural rocks in the white desert, all the views were breathtaking. In the night we were all surprised because the view of the stars was incredible. But I have to say, if you are going because of the water and the lakes this is not a experience for you. We felt a bit scammed because the water points for you to swim and stuff looked like a pool, so it wasn't natural. We felt like it was a great experience, our driver was really funny and gave us the best time in the desert and we had the best group. But the water points it's really the bad part of this trip.

I would 100% recommend the tour with Amin and the tour leaders. The tour is well-organised, entertaining, fun. The tour guides are knowledgeable and skilful about their work and know the desert and surrounding environment by heart since it has been a long time they are doing this with love. And they are super super nice people 👌🏼 However, our group has 2 feedbacks for Amin to improve the quality of the experience: 1. Leave some free seats and room in the van during the transport from Cairo to your hotel. Don't fill all seats with passengers since the A/C and air circulation cannot handle. I would suggest max 8 passengers in one Van. 2. The hot and water springs are not very interesting and clean. Maybe you could replace them with another experience or replace it with spending more time on the new white desert. Thanks you all for such a nice experience and tour guides

It was a very good experience. The experience of camping and sleeping in this empty desert was amazing, as was nature. The tour guides were very kind and there was nothing wrong with it. There were times when there were flies in places to eat, but in Egypt it was a common occurrence, so there was nothing I didn’t like at all. I was given a tent to sleep in, but when I asked if it was OK to sleep in a sleeping bag outside, I slept outside, but it was a rare experience as I suddenly opened my eyes and saw a perfect starry sky spread in front of me. Recommended for those who like the great outdoors. The tour guides were very enthusiastic, especially a young man of about 20 years old, who was very witty and very personable, and they got together around the campfire at night. Overall, it was a good experience. I want to come to Egypt when I visit.
