The Alhambra
A breathtaking masterpiece of Moorish artistry, frozen in time. Each stone in this palatial fortress whispers tales of sultans and poets, echoing the rhythms of a bygone era. The Alhambra isn't just a monument; it's a tapestry of history, woven with the threads of architectural brilliance and cultural fusion. As you stroll through its corridors, you'll be enveloped by the intricate Islamic art, grand archways, and reflective pools, all harmoniously blending with the lush greenery of the Generalife Gardens. The Alhambra stands as a testament to human creativity, its walls adorned with delicate arabesques, its spaces filled with the light and shadow play of latticed windows. Here, every courtyard tells a story, every garden sings a poem, and every view is a painting brought to life. This isn't merely a visit; it's a journey through time, an encounter with the soul of Granada, and an experience that will linger in your memory long after you've left its enchanting embrace.

Our tour was cancelled the day before while we were on a cruise. When we arrived, I asked for a partial refund as we were only getting entry tickets and not the tour. The woman behind the desk offered to give us a full refund but then we would not be able to enter as tickets are sold out months in advance. In the end we paid for a guided tour inside the Alhambra after already paying for one

What a wonderful tour!! Great value entry fee plus guided tour. Must have guide to understand and learn and experience the buildings. Our guide was patient, funny, incredibly informative. Prepare for a lot of walking! Pay attention to tour meeting place!! It is NOT the entrance and bus drop off area. Didn’t see Nasrid Palace interior due to sold out tickets.

Although the Alhambra is absolutely worth it, I don’t understand why I have to reserve €76 for a ‘last chance’ ticket including the Nasrid palaces (via Andazari Tours) 4 weeks before the visit. That is more than 3 times more expensive than on the official website of the Alhambra. The ticket (value € 21) will then be delivered the day before the visit...

Totally worth the money! Alhambra is a huge place and we would have never learned so much about its history without the knowledgeable guide, Sandra!

It’s expensive but worth it with a great guide like we had. Spoke excellent English, told the history of Alhambra with animation in a way that made it interesting, was friendly and had a good sense of humour

In principle, you should buy tickets for the Alhambra well in advance. This was now last minute and without the Palace of the Nasrids. The organization was ok and technical equipment worked.

Tour operator canceled the tour because they didn’t have the “minimum” amount of people joining the tour. But offered me to give the tickets (no access to the Nasrid palaces) and a poorly designed/glitchy web based audio guide that only listed 12 areas which they didn’t even explain how to reach. It just felt like a total scam so they can sell you the tickets for $60 each.

Make sure to do your research before booking a tour. They advertise themselves as last minute but they give access to the gardens… not the castle. the gardens never sell out and are not the main attraction. Also they tell you the day before that there’s no tour available even though that is what you paid for
