What To Expect
Warnemunde Cruise Port
You will be greeted in front of your cruise ship as soon as it docks and escorted to a modern, comfortable, air-conditioned bus. Your professional driver will then transfer you through the picturesque flatlands of former East Germany to Berlin. The journey takes approximately three hours.
Charlottenburg Palace
Upon arrival in Berlin, you will meet your professional English-speaking tour guide. You'll first have a chance to stretch your legs as your knowledgeable local guide provides an introduction to the city.

5.00Such a great experience from start to finish. We had a friendly driver (he did his best to communicate with us in English), and a knowledgeable guide. The day was full but not overwhelming. I was surprised when we visited Hitler’s bunker because it’s literally just a parking lot … I didn’t get it at first, but the guide explained it’s about the historical context, not the location itself. Once she explained it, it made sense. Everything else was fantastic and we made it back to the ship with time to spare.

5.00I was hesitant because of the three-hour drive each way, but I’m so glad we booked this. Once we arrived in Berlin, everything went flawlessly. Our guide, Walid, who has been living in Berlin for a long time, was thoughtful, passionate, and incredibly knowledgeable. He answered every question with precision and patience. This tour turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire cruise.

5.00This was a long day, no doubt about it, but totally worth it. Our guide Campbell was incredible and kept us engaged the whole time. We had one person in the group who had trouble walking, so the group had to slow down a bit. It didn’t bother us too much but maybe it’s good to mention that there’s quite a bit of walking in Berlin. Still 5 stars because we really enjoyed the tour.

5.00It’s a long day, so be prepared, but the value is incredible. We saw more of Berlin in a few hours than we ever could have on our own. Our guide, Campbell, was fantastic- knowledgeable, funny, and very clear in his explanations (and we loved his Australian accent!). The tour company is extremely reliable and attentive. I would book this again without hesitation.

5.00Our guide made the entire day unforgettable. He had photos, maps, and stories that helped us visualize what Berlin looked like in different eras. We learned so much but, thankfully, we never felt rushed at any point of the day. Truly one of the best shore excursions we’ve done. The only small thing was the lunch stop at the mall food court was a bit boring, and I was hoping to try some German food, but everything else was fantastic.

She connected events, dates, and places with real human stories, so we truly understood what Berlin had been through. The schedule was well planned, with plenty of time at each stop, and we returned to the ship an hour and a half before departure. Such an unforgettable experience.
