Enjoy our one-hour river cruise through old and new Berlin. Experience the city from a unique perspective and learn more about its history, its transformation, and Berlin as it is today — all from the water.
Our tour guides provide live commentary in both German and English. Every tour is personal and individual, shaped by the guide’s own style and personality — a quality our guests particularly appreciate. For this, we were awarded the Certificate of Excellence in 2024 as well as in previous years.
The route takes you through Berlin’s historic and modern districts, including the historic city center and the government quarter. The cruise operates in all weather conditions: our ship features a panoramic roof that can be closed within seconds if it starts to rain and opened just as quickly when the weather improves.

What To Expect
Spree
Discover the city from the water: The Reederei Hadynski enables its guests to get to know Berlin from a special point of view. On board the two glass panorama ships MS Carola and MS Franziska, tour guides will present the one-hour boat trip live and explain the exciting cityscape of Berlin. On the daily trips from March to December, guests can take in the panoramic view with a beer or a cup of coffee. When its not cold the roof will be completely open for the best views. In case it starts to rain the panoramic glass roof can be closed within seconds. Thanks to the large window areas, everyone will still be ensured an optimal view when the guides explain the highlights of Berlin, such as the Berlin Cathedral or the Reichstag.

5.00What a hidden gem of a tour this is. From boarding the vessel to traversing the Spree onboard, this was a truly wondrous experience. Bar onboard, table service for drinks, toilets up the back if you need them, lovely and warm - it’s got the lot. Michael our tour guide was exceptional, genial, friendly, humorous, what a guide - 10/10 Michael. Knowledge of the Spree, the area, the history, could not fault it, what a friendly crew. Doing this at sunset made it all the better too. We will be back to do this again in Summer, thanks to Michael and all the vessels staff for a cracking voyage.

3.00I’ve been on many city river cruises and this was a disappointment because it was probably more 80% German and 20% English. That’s okay if you’re German or can speak it. I understand a little bit the rest of my group didn’t which made it harder. The boat ride itself was good, saw lots of things we wouldn’t otherwise have had the opportunity to. Just let down on the language barrier. The guide was friendly and the German people laughed a lot so assuming funny too - lost on the rest of the boat. Might be worth doing hourly English and on the half hour mark German? Don’t know, but it didn’t work for us.

5.00For our first trip in Berlin it was a good way to find out the history of the city . The guide who speaks English is very interesting and gives you good tips about sightseeing around the city. The boat is comfortable and the drinks are not too expansive .

5.00Live guided English and German speaking tour guide. The instructions and location were easy to find. The guide was knowledgeable and provided useful information about the city and locale area. Good for those who like a little history about where they are. Kids will likely find this a bit tiresome but they got a nice view of the city
