Next, you'll ride a dog sled on beautiful journey around an alpine snowfield! This is the dogsledding tour of a lifetime. (This tour departs from the town of Girdwood, located just 35 miles south of Anchorage).

Guides from Iditarod legend Mich Seavey’s Ididaride Sled Dog Tours will introduce you to the lovable dogs and teach you about the musher's lifestyle before your dogsledding adventure. Take in spectacular views of glaciers and peaks as you ride on the sled, you'll even get a chance to drive the dog team yourself. This is a unique Alaska experience you’ll always remember. TOUR HIGHLIGHTS: • Scenic 15-minute flight to and from a remote camp on Punchbowl Glacier • The camp is managed by the Seavey family, renown for raising teams of Iditarod champions • Meet the friendly Alaskan Huskies; learn about the musher’s lifestyle and historic Iditarod race • Plenty of photo opportunities of you on the glacier, driving the dog team, playing with the dogs! • We provide light weight rain jacket and pants, fleece gloves, and outer boots that slip over your shoes We offer a complimentary round-trip transfer from any hotel or B&B in Girdwood. Driving to Girdwood? Park at our hangar. • We ask all guests to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled flight time so you can take part in a short safety briefing before your tour.

5.00Absolutely hands down one of the best experiences we have had during our trip to Alaska! Every single person we encountered on this trip was friendly and helpful. The helicopter trip was fun (our first) and riding with Calvin on his sled and listening to the knowledge he’s gained working with the dogs and actually running the Iditarod last March was unforgettable! 100% recommend this tour!! Well worth the money! Thank you for the memories!

5.00Truly amazing..from the hotel pick up, the staff before and after the ride, the mushers, pilots, and the view! Definitely would do this again. Next time we will do the multiple glacier landings.

5.00This was a great experience from start to finish. Our van driver was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Everyone at the heliport was fantastic, our pilot did a phenomenal job. Everyone at the dog camp was wonderful and of course the dogs were amazing! Definitely a worthwhile experience!

5.00Don’t miss this experience! We’ve traveled the world and this is one of the most exciting things we’ve done. We were grounded 3x before finally making it to the glacier. The staff worked so hard to get us up before our cruise departed Alyeska Resort. Everyone was so friendly. Our guide Riley was excellent. We got to hold puppies, and play with the dogs. They gave us all the cold weather gear we needed.
