We had a superb time with Wayan and her team. Spotlessly clean kitchen, super fun market trip, engaging and warm host and most importantly super delicious food. Thank you Wayan!

This was a great activity. It’s nice to go to a market in a foreign country and have unfamiliar items explained to you. Before we started the actual class, she explained how to do an offering and had me make one. The cooking class was great The person explained very well what was to be done and how to do it. She was very encouraging every step of the way. It was nice to finish with a nice presentation of my meal. And then to taste it all!

Wayan was an awesome teacher and hostess. I ended up having a private lesson so got to prepare and cook every meal. Wayan was patient and I was not rushed. This is a value for money experience given the number of dishes I made. I'd say definitely go for it if your looking to expand your cooking experience 😁

Great day. There was another 2 couples as well as a solo participant. Easy to pair up for cooking. Wayan is very skilled and knowledgable and we had great laughs together. It’s very close to central Ubud, the drive and driver were pleasant. The market was also a great eye opener. I have a ginger allergy and eat an accommodated my needs. Will definitely do again.

I didn't expect the cooking class would be do great:) Our teacher Wayan was very nice, helpful and she explained everything perfectly, answered all our questions. She showed us traditional market, we could smell and taste anything we wanted. Then we cooked 7 different dishes and 3 sauces, everything was delicious ( don't eat breakfast before class, we did and we regreted). We had really great time, got all the recipies printed and on watsup. I highly recommend this cooking class:)

What a wonderful way to spend a morning in Bali. Pick up was right as scheduled from our villa. A tour of the local market where we weee introduced to the amazing aromatics we would later taste in our cooking. My daughter felt unwell at the market due to the heat and every accommodation was made to ensure she was ok. Once back at Wayans home her cooking kitchen did not disappoint. A tour of her vegetable garden, the opportunity to make traditional offerings , snacks incase people had missed breakfast then the most wonderful experience cooking a range of foods which we later got to try. Wayan had a great sense of humour , my husband likes spicy food - she said ‘ liking spicy means sexy man ‘ which we continued for the whole morning. We had a small group of only two parties which made the experience quite intimate. This class is absolutely worth an investment in your time. Cobek Bali cooking school was amazing. We have taken cooking classes in many countries and found this to be very high quality for the cost. Highly recommend this experience-

This activity was organised and professional from start to finish. Booking was easy. Changing my hotel pick-up was also made easy. Wayan is pleasant and polite and knows the ladies in the morning market. Her kitchen is clean and organised with plenty of space to cook and eat and heaps of necessary utensils. I enjoyed preparing every thing from scratch. The small group I was in rated our lunch as delicious. I have come away with an appreciation for Balinese cooking.

We had an amazing time in the cooking class. Stuff was very helpful, everything was nice and clean. The market was really authentic and we had the chance to buy local products at a very good price. Our chef Wayan is a very nice, kind and funny person and obviously a good cook. We could learn about the different ingredients, how they grow and harvest it. Also about their culture and gastronomy. It’s a must if you visit Bali. Highly recommended!! We finished with a full stomach and a happy soul:)

The Balinese cooking experience with Wayan is a must. It starts with a market tour showing you where people shop daily and what staples are necessary to cook Balinese food. You then go to Wayan’s kitchen and learn how to make an offering and then how to cook several dishes. You then get a full lunch of the food you have helped cook. You also get a cook book and photos. Wayan tells you about the different ingredients and flavours they bring, you then get to prepare and cook food in partners. She is a very good teacher and has a great sense of humour , a fantastic morning out.

Absolutely brilliant activity- excellent value for money. Our cooking instructor was so informative and patient- we learnt so much about Balinese food and culture. She also had a great sense of humour! The market visit was well worth it- so good to visit with a knowledgeable person and she let us try anything we wanted. The lunch we cooked was phenomenal and there was more than enough for all- I don’t think we will need dinner tonight. My pre-teen is a fussy eater but even she enjoyed trying new things and discovered she likes Tempeh! Drive out of Ubud was safe and easy. I cannot recommend more highly!
