What To Expect
Benefit from pick-up at your hotel, and then visit a local fresh food market to choose the ingredients for your cooking class. Select from the available vegetables, herbs, meat and spices on display and experience a little of the local life in Bali. Continue to the traditional village of Laplapan, where you will get a warm welcome from the locals on arrival. Before the cooking class began, this package also included following the process of making Balinese offerings. We will teach you in making canang and other equipment. Then take part in a cooking class and learn all the secrets of preparing food from Bali, while expert chefs provide guidance and assistance. Interact with your fellow cooks and discover handy techniques as you prepare your starters, main courses and authentic dessert. Then, sit down to a meal and savor the delicious flavors of your creations.

5.00We had a great time with Wayan and the whole team. She answered all our questions, both during the visit to the traditional market and the cooking class. She also adapted to dietary requirements. We were able to cook several dishes and leave with the recipes. I highly recommend this experience!

5.00From the moment our driver Awan picked us up at our hotel the experience started. He told us about the sites we passed on the way, he was great. First, Wayan met us at the local market. Wow ! Such an array of fruits, which we tasted. Loved the snake fruit, which tasted like pineapple, then mangosteen, and rambutan to name a few. Spices, vegetables, and many other delicacies. Crunchy ,sweet, and savory. When we arrived at Wayan's home she greeted us, served a cool drink and snacks, then tea. Then the cooking class started. Each ingredient was explained and we got to work preparing seven dishes from soup,salads,and so many others. Everyone did preparation and cooking. Wayan gave us a cookbook of the recipes that we prepared, and of course, we ate. So delicious. Then Wayan showed us around her land and we saw the many things that were grown. After dessert and tea, our driver Awan took us back to our hotel. It was an hour drive and again he showed us places and explained various Balinese customs. From start to finish it was the best experience we had in Bali. This excursion is not to be missed.

5.00This was an awesome experience. The early morning market was fun and educational learning the different herbs, fruits, and vegetables used in Balinese coking. The class and instructor were amazing. She gave instruction on how to prepare the food and even gave substitutions that I can get at home. Our driver was also very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone who likes food, cooking, and culture.
