Experience Bangkok by night on this unique tour that reveals a magical side of the city. After dark, landmarks are beautifully illuminated, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. Your local guide shares fascinating insights into Thai culture and history along the way.

The tour begins with a short Chao Phraya Express Boat ride to Wat Arun. After a photo stop, we cross the river by ferry and continue by tuk-tuk past some of Bangkok’s most iconic sights. Though temples like Wat Arun, Wat Pho, and the Grand Palace are closed at night, they’re stunningly lit and admired from the outside.

We finish in Chinatown with a simple but delicious street-food meal and dessert.

NOTE 1:

The tour ends in Chinatown. Return to your hotel is easy by metro or taxi (not included).

NOTE 2:

On Mondays, many food stalls close for street cleaning, making Chinatown quieter than usual.

Get ready for a thrilling tuk-tuk adventure through the vibrant and mysterious heart of Bangkok at night!

Additional Info

Public transportation options are available nearby

Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap

Suitable for all physical fitness levels

As we will enter the temple compound at Wat Arun (though not the temple itself), respectful attire is required. We recommend wearing longer shorts that cover the knees and ensuring your shoulders are covered.

The guide can only wait for a MAXIMUM of 10 minutes after the set meeting time. After the 10 minutes grace period, the guide will start with the tour.

Please note that this is not a food tour. While we do enjoy a local street-food meal and dessert at the end of the tour, the focus is on cultural exploration rather than food sampling throughout. Since the meal is served towards the end of the experience, we recommend having a light snack before the tour begins, especially if you think you’ll get hungry along the way.

On Monday food-stalls are not allowed on the streets, so Chinatown is a less lively than other days of the week.

Our tour operates rain or shine. Therefore, cancellations due to weather are not eligible for a refund.

Bangkok's traffic is notorious. Since our tours are on a group basis, we would like to emphasize that you should arrive at the meeting point on time. If you cannot make it in time, please inform us before start of the tour. If possible, we will always do our best to reschedule you to the first available day/start time, but a change fee will apply.

The tour starts with a short boat ride on the Chao Phraya Express Boat to Wat Arun.

Duration of the tour is between 3-4 hours.

What To Expect

1

Temple Of Dawn (Wat Arun)

From the meeting point, we board the Chao Phraya Express Boat for a short and scenic ride on the River of Kings to the iconic Wat Arun. Also known as the Temple of Dawn and locally referred to as Wat Chaeng, this riverside temple is located on the Thonburi side of the river. Wat Arun is one of Bangkok’s most admired landmarks, famous for its towering central prang decorated with intricate porcelain mosaics. In the evening, the temple is beautifully illuminated, creating a magical reflection on the water and offering a truly memorable photo opportunity. Please note: At this hour, the temple is closed to visitors, but we usually enter the temple compound to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and take photos. As a sign of respect, please dress appropriately: shoulders and knees should be covered.

Great little tour; got to cruise the big river, seeing several of the important sites with good knowledgable tips presented with good humor by Peach. Especially enjoyed the Flower Market -- all night long! -- and a brief swing through Chinatown. A great first night introduction or if you've got limited time. Would recommend!

Very knowledgeable guide, and great tuk-tuk experience that I otherwise would likely not have taken up on my own during my stay in Bangkok.
