We had a fantastic hike and hot spring tour! We left Ubud at 2.30am for a 3.30am start to walk up the volcano. The walk begins in the dark with torches and progressively gets stepper with many switch backs as you incline. Be wary that the upper track is drenched in loose gravel and rocks. Good walking shoes or shoes with great tread would be recommended. Worst case motorbikes are readily available if necessary to assist. Our guide Rio was great, positive and made a great breakfast on the volcano. He was eager to answer any question and be as helpful as possible. After we descended the volcano our private car driver took us to the hot spring. It was a great way to unwind and relax the body after trekking.

Today my husband and I had an amazing trek up the mountain with Rio. He was so sweet, informative and made sure we were safe and taken are of. He took amazing pictures and videos of us along the way to make sure it was a memorable experience for our honeymoon. He even made us breakfast at the top of the mountain. He hard boiled eggs for us in the steam of the volcano. So cool. We saw incredible views, saw monkeys, and the most beautiful sunrise. A MUST DO in the area!

Rio was an amazing guide. He was very quick at answering questions, organised and punctual. He helped us up to the summit and made a beautiful breakfast with hot coffee. He took us around the top and gave us some history about the volcano. Would do it again!

We climbed Mount Batur today with guide Rio and it was a really great experience! From the start he was super friendly and helpful. He took the time to tell us all sorts of things along the way and provided a nice pace with enough rest moments. At the start we were given water and on top of the mountain he had prepared a delicious breakfast for us. Breakfast with the sunrise was truly magical! In addition, Rio also took beautiful pictures of us at the view. Everything was well arranged and the whole trip felt relaxed and personal. Highly recommended to go with Rio if you visit Mount Batur!

An amazing experience not just for the trek but the added extras that we weren't too bothered about (hot springs and coffee plantation) turned out to be really enjoyable and something we wouldn't have normally done. The best part was our driver Pret who was really knowledgeable and told us loads about the local culture. On the trek our guide was lovely, at the top of the mountain she gave us breakfast before going back down. All in all we'd definitely recommend.

We were picked up by our driver on time to head to Mt. Batur. We were greeted by our amazing guide who gave us hiking bamboos to help with the trek. Once at the top, our guide made us breakfast while we waited for sunrise. Our kind driver then took us to the hot springs and to the Coffee plantation afterwards. Unique experience with world class hospitality. Would highly recommend you try it!
