Booked the Black Cab Tour at least a week in advance through Viator. Received confirmation and they charged our credit card. At the appointed time the tour driver didn't show up. No contact information for the tour operator was provided. Called (at our international phone rate expense) Viator customer support and was told that the tour operator never received the booking and other than a refund there was nothing that could be done. That was our last day in Belfast and the tour was the one thing we wanted to do. Very poor performance on both Viator and the tour operator that they contracted with.

Gerrard was an excellent tour guide. His historical knowledge was vast. He related his own personal experiences and family history to political and historical events which really bought the tour alive. He gave us an extra hour and it was obviously a topic he felt passionate about. I learnt so much. Thank you

We highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in the history of Ireland. Ricky’s personal experience through the troubles, combined with his knowledge of history made this an outstanding experience for us. He took the time to answer questions and was unbiased during his tour. Thank you so much for a wonderful afternoon!

This tour was the most impactful tour we have taken in our visit to Ireland. The tour guide is an owner and a native of Belfast who lived through the actual years of the Troubles. His family has paid a tremendous price for freedom from the Brits Gerard is exceptionally articulate and passionate about the history of Belfast. Also his vehicle is very comfortable and spotlessly clean , plus it is a Mercedes van and so comfortable. We are a 3 generation family travelling throughout Ireland and we all found this tour to be so worthwhile. We all recommend it highly to everyone visiting Belfast. These people know the real price of freedom

Excellent tour with Brendan. Nothing was rushed and he was happy yo go well over time answering our many questions. Even dropped us off at the Titanic museum after the tour for no extra charge, despite being well out of his way. Fantastic service and fascinating tour. Thoroughly recommend it. Many thanks Brendan.

We had Ricky as our guide. His knowledge and lived experience through the troubles was really informative and gave us a much better understanding of the historical context and the troubles. This is a must do if you visit Belfast, we cannot recommend it highly enough. Thanks Ricky
