Coast Warriors is Sydney’s chilled out small group tour operator own and run by Aussie locals. We target the fitter 17 to 60ish years of age travellers though older is fine if you can bushwalk and like what you see advertised :)
This tour offers one of Sydney's highest reviewed experiences for those seeking a relaxed Blue Mountains option. Our tours are run by fun local Aussies with the aim of being less of a tour and more of a feeling of a small group of mates on a day trip.
We have now been running this adventure for many years so you can put trust that we will take you to only the best and less touristy places within the Blue Mountains. Waterfalls, amazing lookouts, Glenbrook cafe stop (locals cafe), the Three Sisters at Katoomba, occasionally a kangaroo and often birds. This is a full day in the Blue Mountains generally away from all the tourists and other mainstream tour bus locations. Aussie snacks like Tim Tams & Vegemite are on offer too.

The tour itself (points of interest) was wonderful, including Wentworth Falls, Lincoln Rock, Three Sisters, and Echo Point. Absolutely breathtaking! However, the tour company, Coast Warriors, and specifically the tour guide who was very young and inexperienced, added nothing to the quality of the tour, offering very little information about the Blue Mountains, for example why in fact they are called the Blue Mountains to begin with, which I had to find out the next day on a Hunter Valley wine tour with another tour company. The Blue Mountains tour guide provided very little information about the significance, history, background, area culture, or anything that would add color, dimension, and understanding to our tour experience. To top it off, she managed to lose a group of us on the Wentworth Falls hike, which was a challenging hike to the bottom of the falls and back, and I say this having done the Sydney Bridge Climb the day before. The tour guide went hiking ahead with a portion of the group leaving the rest behind. When we caught up with them at the bottom of the falls, she gave unclear instructions on how to get back resulting in it taking an additional 45 minutes for us to return past the expected time. In the meantime the rest of the group had to wait getting lunch while she went back to find us. She had everyone's lunch in the cooler the whole time and could have distributed lunch to the other tourists. Just poor decision making all around. Coast Warriors needs to do a better job training their tour guides!

Really good but to do the bottom waterfall walk you need to have a good fitness level. We were the oldest in our group as majority were young people. I am relatively fit but found the climb back up hard in the sun and humidity. Good value for money!

The ride was boring, as the driver didn't say a word about Sydney, except to play a trivia game. She seemed like she didn't want to be there. At every stop, she left us on our own, including at the waterfall hike. I've never been on an all day tour, where the driver didn't speak about points of interest. 8 people in our group and we all felt the same. I walked with walking sticks and had no idea how hard the trip was, because Shannon just opened the door and left us on our own. I got lost several times, and really struggled to get back. There was no instruction or any talk, except to say there's your trail. Very poorly run, and a total waste of time. Even the lunch was bad. For an 11 hour tour, you get one sandwich and that's it. She handed it to you, and our told just eat over there and buy what you want. I would discourage people from going on this tour.

This is not for anyone in any sort of poor shape. There is a pretty significant hike down and back up to falls. The pace and communication of the timing around the hike was poor. I felt extremely rushed and nervous to get back in time, such that taking pictures was barely an option and then we sat around to have lunch for a long enough time that it could have been done at a way more leisurely pace. Pickup was very chaotic. That said, all the sights were amazing and it was super fun.

Lovely trip for family with young adult children. Beautiful views and Ben was awesome due to cloud coverage at mountains he changed the order of sites to ensure we got to see all the great views. Also he was super nice friendly guide.
