Guided from any smart phone, groups make their way among well-known and overlooked gems of the city, solving clues and completing challenges while learning local history. The adventure begins in the Boston Common and will take you on a journey among historic landmarks and along key sections of the Freedom Trail. Experience the history of old cemeteries and famous meeting halls with the sights and smells of the Italian North End. Using a smartphone as “the guide” allows participants to start when they want and determine their own pace of play. We never made it because there was no parking available and no directions for parking options. Very disappointed.

The site is a little clunky and I think it's a shame to charge per person. There was no further effort on UAQ's side so charging for 4 people felt a bit icky. It was also difficult to navigate to the leaderboard with lots of broken links but we got there in the end. (When I tried to enter our team name nothing happened.) All that said, the tasks were well written and not too easy which was great. We had a fun afternoon.

Very fun hunt. We were Amazing Race fans celebrating a birthday. The clues and quests and puzzles were challenging and fun. Great day in Boston!

The hunt was fun but a little hard to get started. It would not work on my iPhone. Luckily, my husband has an Android device so we were still able to play. I recommend setting up your account before you get to your destination. For our hunt, it turned out we also needed pen and paper.
