Optimus Winery Winebar
Optimus Winery is a small family estate in Etyek, where winemaking began as a hobby in 2019 and quickly grew into a passion passed down through the family. Today, they craft elegant sparkling wines alongside fresh rosés and whites, sharing both tradition and experimentation in Hungary’s leading sparkling wine region.
Vertes Winery - Vertes Birtok - Etyek
This family winery traces its roots back over 200 years to a cellar in Páty, before growing into a modern estate on Etyek’s Öreghegy. Guests can taste fresh whites and rich barrel-aged reds, made from carefully hand-selected grapes.

Absolutely amazing day! Visited 3 local semi rural very scenic wineries. Lovely friendly and knowledgeable hosts. Passionate about what they do. Good wines and delicious Hungarian traditional food, especially lunch that was home cooked. Comfortable transport. Small group of like minded people. Awesome guide (George), who was also passionate about what he does. Fabulous- no hesitation in recommending 🍷🥂

I had an amazing time on this 4–5 hour wine tour in Etyek! We visited several wineries, tasted a variety of delicious wines, and learned so much from both the winemakers and our hosts. The explanations were clear and engaging, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The weather was perfect, which made the walk through the vineyards and the tastings even more memorable. To top it all off, we got to try some traditional Hungarian dishes at the end, such a treat! Overall, it was a fantastic experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Hungary. Great wine, great food, and great people! 🌟

If you are looking for a wine tour, look no further. This is a great activity with a small group with delicious local wines produced in small, family owned vineyards. This is very authentic and personalized. After doing wine tours in Napa, I much prefer this approach. Highly recommend!

It was Super fun. It’s really close to Budapest, yet it totally feels like the countryside. A cute village, small wineries, plenty of wine. It takes up the whole day though, so don’t plan anything else for that day. I think in terms of price–quality it’s pretty good.

We had some friends visiting from abroad and we wanted to make sure they get a good taste of why Hungarian wines are so famous. We didn't have the time to go for a long trip over to Lake Balaton and such so we were trying to look for alternatives closer to Budapest when we found the Foodapest Winery Tour experience. We gave it a try and I'm happy to say it was a great experience! Amazing location, not far from the city, very kind host and all the wines we've tasted were straight from the source. Safe to say our friends were not dissapointed - can only recommend!

Had a wonderful time trying some local wines and delicacies. The scenic little village is beautiful, just a short trip from Budapest. Our guide offered up information about the place, the wineries, in some cases even the winemakers themselves shared tidbits, information about the wines or shared the history of the village and how it came to be a wine making region with us. The food was tasty, the wines delicious. All in all a very wonderful experience!
