This was a small group and it was only me with my guide called Sam. We started early at 0800, to beat the crowds and the heat of the sun. Sam was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of this country. Our transport was a Tuk Tuk which was great as got a real feel of the local way of transport. The Killing Fields was an emotional place to visit and Sam gave you time to wander at your own pace. We Visited the Palace, the Temple which I could see from my room window, known as Chey Chumm, The Prison museum, the Central market. Also went to War Phnom Playground, decided to give the museum in the afternoon as miss as information overload. We stopped at a lovely restaurant for lunch and the food was really great. It was a loverly morning going at your own pace. Would recommend Sams small group as it's then tailor made for yourselves.

Sam my guide made the tour enjable even though the killing fields and prison were gruesome, and his knowledge of the royal palace and the history and humour lifted the experience

Sam Ang is excellent at telling the history of Cambodia as you visit its sites. He knows details and tells stories that even an informed tourist will find priceless. Sam seems to know all the locals, which gives the traveler an opportunity to meet and interact with real people. My tour with Sam was the highlight of my trip.
