“Just 30 minutes from Medellin, in San Sebastian de Palmitas – the most rural and authentic region of the city – you will live the real experience of being a coffee farmer with our peasant family. What makes us unique is the complete journey from plant to cup: we will welcome you with a good coffee and typical accessories, we will show you our history and end with a professional tasting, a traditional lunch served in bijao leaf and mud.
We offer a semi-personalized Premium experience, away from the crowds, where we include a special gift from the house and a typical artisan sweet. During your stay, you can enjoy all the specialty coffee you want to drink and have fun with the traditional 'Frog Game'. Our activity is designed to show you with respect and passion what the real life of a coffee farmer is like in an environment surrounded by mountains. Sunset Coffee 1. Field Immersion (Wet Process) We will start in the heart of our plantation with a warm reception. Here, the theory becomes practical: Planting and Harvesting : You will learn to manually identify and collect only the cherries at their exact ripening point. Pulping : You will participate in the initial grain transformation process, understanding our sustainable practices and respect for nature. 2. The Processing Laboratory (Dry Process) We went from coffee plant to our specialized laboratory to discover the science behind aroma: Trite and Roast: Witness the green bean transform. You can thresh, roast and grind coffee, feeling how fragrances evolve at each stage. 3. Professional Preparation and Tasting Ritual The grand finale of Cafe Sunset. A complete sensory session to learn how to differentiate a coffee of excellence: Extraction Methods : Live demonstration of preparation in specialized methods such as Japanese Siphon, V60 and Chemex. We loved the tour , what stood out the most is the proximity with Medellín or if you are in commune 13 in just 30 minutes there is the estate, since you arrive the atmosphere is very pleasant, the peasant outfit 🧺 to collect the coffee is great , you learn about the whole process and feel like a real coffee farmer , you plant a tree and everything is great, the delicious lunch and even dessert coffee give you with your coffee prepared in the method you want, highly recommended the tour💚☕

Great experience and very educational! Never knew the amount of work to make a simple cup of coffee ☕️. The family at the plantation was great, accommodating, and very informative. The great thing was no time constraint. Would do it again in a heartbeat.
