Explore Dublin’s gruesome stories of murder, torture, cannibalism, grave robbing, brothels, proposals to eat young children, unearthly worship and much more!
We start our journey at Dublin Castle, where we will explore the torture of the past, speak of priest hunters and unearth why the upper courtyard was nicknamed the Devil’s Half Acre but behind the beautiful architecture is a brutal past.
From here we’ll take the side streets to hear stories of cannibalism and of proposals to eat babies.
As we delve further into Dublin’s dark past, we’ll enter an area once known as Hell. Uncover stories of brothels, witches, and the infamous Hellfire Club.
Passing by the old city walls we’ll learn of grave robbing, The Black Pig, and finish with the very unusual case of a strangler and killer with no legs.
Join us on this 2-hour walking tour as we weave our way through the city streets and back alleys to uncover Dublin’s Dark past.

The tour featured several interesting and dark stories about Dublin and some of his famous and infamous citizens. The guide (Stephen) was very much prepared both in terms of history and story-telling. I would highly recommend this tour. It was a little cold, but it made the experience even more on point.

Our guide was quirky and fun. He tells great stories that were interesting. It was very chilly but walking around was helpful.

Michael was just fantastic, brilliant story telling and interaction with everyone. The time flew by, we didn’t even notice it was 2 hours. Highly recommended

There were five of us in the group and we all really enjoyed it! I was a bit uneasy with torture stories, but I went because I thought my kids would like it. Kim was excellent in that she could vividly describe scenes and make history come to life, while also injecting humor in all the right spots. We all had an awesome time! Highly recommend!

The tour felt rather short, but it was a nice time. Heard some good stories and saw some places that held a lot of dark history. It’s a nice little extra to throw in between when you have a little time but want to stay close to your rooms.

My wife and I were on a short trip to Dublin to meet up with her sister and booked this on a whim, and we're so happy did! Kim was our tour guide and did such an incredible from start to finish. She was the perfect mix of knowledgeable and entertaining - especially given the darker theme of the tour - with an unbeatable sense of kindness and authenticity. We learned so much on this tour and can't recommend it enough.

Stephen was awesome. A party of 14 cancelled, so my wife and I were the only 2 on the tour. That did not deter Stephen from delivering a fun and informative tour. But as a message to Stephen, don’t turn around and look at the gate

We were really looking forward to this trip, but it didn’t live up to the title. Found out some interesting information and got to see some places, sadly the delivery of the stories wasn’t as great as what the other reviews have said; guess we were unlucky with the female guide we had. Shame as can see that it had the potential to be really good. I would recommend and hope that you get a better guide to deliver the spooky tales
