We depart Dublin @ 08:00, driving through the midlands down to Blarney, in the beautiful County Cork. We will pass through the Golden Vale, the most fertile lands in all of Europe with green fields as far as the eye can see.
Rock of Cashel
Our first stop will be the world famous Rock of Cashel in Co. Tipperary. One of Ireland's most evocative sites, you can stroll in the footsteps of St. Patrick flanked by ruins, Celtic crosses and round towers. Feel the soul of Ireland. The Rock of Cashel was the traditional seat of the Kings of Munster until they donated the complex to the Catholic Church almost 1,000 years ago for use as a cathedral. One of the best examples of medieval architecture anywhere in Europe. Your entrance fee (EUR 7.00) is included in the price of this tour.

We took a tour with Michael. Michael was the best and not like the other shallow drivers. I've never seen someone power walk up a 15 degree incline as fast as Michael did at the Rock of Cashel. Stealthy fit. Michael had all the jokes, a few funny. The trip itself was nice too. We hope he appreciates our contribution to his positive review competition with the other drivers (the shallow ones). Our only regret is we didn't get a picture with Michael, he was walking too fast.

Very quiet and enjoyable. Not a lot of guests and the locations were not busy. The time in cork was useless would have been better time spent at the Blarney Castle with so much to do and see.

This was such a fun day. Leo was such a great tour guide and loved all of the stops along the way to kissing the Blarney stone. Great stories and beautiful scenery and great music in between. Would highly recommend and was so perfect for a solo traveler too!

Wow! Aiden with Paddywagon Tours was fabulous. He was so knowledgeable and really kept us engaged the entire trip. The Blarney Castle was outstanding and we had no line to kiss the stone. Rock of Cashel was stunning and we had a beautiful day for pictures. I’ve never experienced food markets like The English Market in Cork and it was amazing! I only wish we were staying longer so we could have purchased some fresh fruit and cheese from the market.

Our driver was very knowledgeable and friendly. Pick up and drop off were clearly located. He took care of the admission process since ticket prices included in tour. Rock of Cashel was great! Quick visit. Our driver gave us more time at Blarney castle which was nice because you really need 2-3 hours just for castle and grounds. And that really doesn’t give you time for any shopping. (And we were there in off peak season.) I would recommend packing a lunch if you want to get the most out of your time. In my opinion, the visit to Cork was a waste of time unless you have something specific you want to see there. Cork is just another city very similar to Dublin. Overall safe and reliable tour.

Long day but definitely worth it. Actually didn’t feel like 8 hours. I felt like we had sufficient time at each location. We went during off-peak time so the wait at Blarney Castle was not long at all. Our driver was very entertaining - perfect balance of history mixed in with Irish wit and charm. Definitely recommend Paddywagon Tours!
