We depart Dublin @ 08:00, driving through the midlands down to Blarney, in the beautiful County Cork. We will pass through the Golden Vale, the most fertile lands in all of Europe with green fields as far as the eye can see.
Rock of Cashel
Our first stop will be the world famous Rock of Cashel in Co. Tipperary. One of Ireland's most evocative sites, you can stroll in the footsteps of St. Patrick flanked by ruins, Celtic crosses and round towers. Feel the soul of Ireland. The Rock of Cashel was the traditional seat of the Kings of Munster until they donated the complex to the Catholic Church almost 1,000 years ago for use as a cathedral. One of the best examples of medieval architecture anywhere in Europe. Your entrance fee (EUR 7.00) is included in the price of this tour.

Our stops at Rock of Cashel and Blarney Castle were absolutely amazing. The time spent in Cork was a waste. Should bypass Cork and spend the extra time at Blarney Castle. The gardens there are beautiful.

While you do spend a lot of time driving there it’s worth the time. The driver was pleasant and shared great information along the way.

First off, the driver was awesome and very helpful and friendly! The 4 stars come from the overall riding in the bus and the overall tour being long! It was good to see everything, however, it would have been better to break it up into two days and rent a car. The Blarny Castle does not have much to see but the gardens were nice. If you want to kiss the stone you will wait about an hour or more, just to get through the line. My wife and I decided that it wasn't worth putting our lips against a stone that millions of people kiss per year... YUK! Cork was nice to see but was a bit of just walking around, again rent a car. The ruins were cool but not much else to see except a few graves and remnants of the chirch with no roof. All in all, you could rent a car for a couple of days and drive yourself and spend as much or little of time as you want. The only advantage of the tour was transportation. The tickets can be purchased online, individually, as you go! Oh and, Blarny Mansion is not open for tours on Sundays, kinda a bummer!
