Going back in time to see how the people of Shirakawago live in those days. The traditional Japanese lunch included in the tour was a unique experience.

The trip was a beautiful bus ride through the mountains to a whimsical visit to Shirakawa-go. The guide, Kuroda san was funny and informative. The lunch was excellent.

the tour was good, but it rained heavily that day. Very well organized, the lunch was great, really japanese! The village is beautiful but to be honest I expected something more, the house tour was like half an hour and the rest of the tie we walked through the village with all other tourists. then it started raining. I would suggest but only if you really love this kind of villages.

This was a great tour. The guide explains the history of the village on the bus on the way there so when you arrive you are free to wander and discover it yourself after a lovely traditional lunch. We were traveling from Ireland and the company had arranged for an interpreter on the bus for us to understand the guide. We really appreciated this!

This experience was excellent and was one of the highlights of my trip to Kanazawa. From the beginning, finding the meeting point at the station was not difficult as a google map link was provided in the voucher in addition to good instructions. Lunch provided was tasty and it was a nice beginning to the visit. In terms of language barriers, our guide was accompanied by an English interpreter who did a terrific job. They do not give you a tour of the village, but rather explain to you the must see sites while on the bus. They do provide a map and I recommend taking notes of what you want to see on it. After eating lunch you will be on your own to explore. The village itself was amazing! I could have probably spent another hour there to make it more leisurely, but the time allotted allowed you to see the highlights. During my mid/late May visit it was incredibly sunny. I would advise checking the weather and preparing as needed. Highly recommend.
