The trip was well worth it rather by doing it diy. The driver was waiting for us 30 minutes before the start time. Could not thank the driver enough for taking us there and back from Cairo considering now I know how chaotic the roads are in Egypt. The driver also made sure we had enough water which was really nice of him. The guide was waiting for us at Alexandra and she took us to the prescribed destinations. We had lunch at a seafood restaurant. The lunch was not included in the tour but was reasonably priced and we had a good view of the sea. All in all a full day experience and was worth for the price paid and avoided the hassle of getting taxi from hotel to train stations. The tour is between 10 to 12 hours but over half of that will be travelling.
