  Galo Tours made our small group trip amazing! We had a last minute change and our guide, Junior, adapted our program wonderfully! We ended up with an unplanned morning in Belem with time for Pastel de Belem & coffees; then he took our pictures at the monument of the Discoveries, Monastery of Jeranimos and Tower of Belem. We had a great drive to the Miradeaire caves -where he dropped us off at the top and then met us at the bottom so we wouldn’t have to walk uphill! Then we went to Obidos! What a great time in the walled city! Lunch on our own at Tasca10 (amazing by the way) followed by Christmas shopping as the town was just starting their decorations and Ginja shots in chocolate cups! Junior adapted our day to meet our needs and even did a video summary of all our pictures! While we didn’t go to Fátima (at our request as we saw it on a different tour) or Mafra Palace ( again our choice), we had an amazing day with Junior and Galo Tours! Oh- and he was great on communication both before the tour as he advised us that our originally selected dates would have had us at the palace on a day it was closed, and during the tour working with our changes to let us know how the changes we requested would impact our travel day! You can’t go wrong with Galo Tours!

  Wonderful tour! The caves are not to be missed-beautiful example of nature and the determination of man to explore it. Our driver and tour guide, Agenor, was the best—informative , kind, and accommodating to our requests. I recommend him highly.

  Agenor Junior was a great tour guide! He is a professional and patient individual, and was very knowledgeable on Portuguese history! He ended up picking us up at our Airbnb instead of the original hotel to help us save time, and was very kind. We did take longer at some places within the tour, so he was flexible with the time and honored our request to skip the last spot to spend more time in another city, and take us somewhere he recommended that worked with our schedule. We even took longer overall on the tour, and he offered to have us tour longer. It was an amazing experience seeing Fatima, Mira de Aire, Obidos, and Belem! My friends and I had so much fun!

  We were in doubt whether to book a tour or not... but now I see how excellent our choice was. Without the tour we would not have been able to know even half of the places we went to!
