Kevin was an excellent guide! We were able to see glass frogs, several other frogs, woolly opossum, raccoons, porcupines, a tarantula, a sleeping toucanet, bats, and several native birds. Kevin also taught us about several plant species and the history of the reserve. He was incredibly nice and we had a great time!

An interesting way to see the local area! We took several guided tours around CR and this is the only one I would do again. There is no way you can or should be in the rainforest in the dark without a guide. It was a special experience! And YES- it is in the DARK even at 6pm! It rained during our tour but with so much canopy it was not much of an issue. Wear closed shoes (not hiking sandals!)

Kevin was fantastic. He seemed to be the guy who found stuff and told other guides where to look. We got to see a sloth, black porcupine, armadillo and multiple toucans among other things. He was very informative about the plant life and bugs frogs and spiders. Highly recommend

My family including 3 kids did the night tour at Lantana with Kevin and it was fantastic! We know seeing certain animals can not be promised, but we were lucky enough to see several toucans, a tarantula, a porcupine, an armadillo, and an active sloth amongst others. Totally exceeded our expectations and would highly recommend. We had flashlights and felt safe the whole time and Kevin was so kind as to get pictures and video of the animals for us.

We went on an excellent night walk with Kevin, our guide. Kevin was very knowledgeable and endeavoured to show us as much wildlife as possible in the Monteverde cloud forest, while working within the limits of nature. We were very fortunate that Kevin spotted and showed us toucans, armadillo, porcupine, pygmy rain frogs to name but a few. Thank you for a wonderful experience and answering all our questions and being very patient.

I met Kevin on a day tour and had already booked up an evening trip with him. Picked me up on time went straight to the night tour area. Got ahead of the rest of the tours and had the main part of the forest to ourselves. Started out great saw the first of many sightings before we'd even got 200m onto the trail. Kevin was great spotted things before I had even seen them. Highlights for me were the armadillo , Mexican porcupine, tarantula, emerald glass frog and a host of birds. Nice to see a toucan sleep!! Kevin helped with my phone camera setup and managed to get some great shots. A fantastic evening, nothing was too much trouble. Even managed to see a sloth at the end of the trail. Great tour would highly recommend

We went twice with Kevin for night tour and morning walk in Monteverde reserve and it was amazing and totally worth it. He is very knowledgeable, I felt comfortable asking him lots of questions. He paid attention to everyone in our group, which is very important in a group setting. We saw Keel-billed Toucan and Quetzal both male and female, which I really wanted to see in that area. We highly recommend him!

My husband and I signed up for this tour and loved it! Our guide, Jainner Perez, was fantastic. He was calm and adapted to our group's dynamic easily (8 people from USA, France, England). It was not a strenuous hike and Jainner was always willing to stop and look at/for wildlife or to answer questions. He found roosting birds (both toucans, motmot), frogs, tarantulas, crickets and a really cool click beetle. He would use his scope to show us the animal, and we were all amazed at how he could located them in the dark. And, at the end of the tour, all the guides together worked to find a sloth one had noticed. Mother and baby in the tree near the base camp! This is a wonderful tour and I highly recommend both it and Jainner.
