What To Expect

Aghpati Monastery It was founded by Queen Khosrovanush (wife of the Armenian king Ashot III) in 976. This active monastery consists of one vestibule, two sepulchral corridors, a refectory, a scriptorium, an Amazaspi chapel, a bell tower and several chapels. You will admire the architectural ensemble, as well as visit the ancient tombs and Khachkar crosses.

The day was long, but absolutely worth it! The guide, Mr Moris, was professional and full of information. Mt Ararat was a little shy and stayed partly behind clouds, but getting to walk on the magnificent Yerevan cascade more than made up for it. We very much appreciated that we were dropped off at the top and got to walk down! The best souvenir shopping was probably at lake Sevan, but unfortunately we didn't have much time there as the climbing up took a while.

A great way to experience Armenia if you have limited time. Long drive and tiring but worth to try! Free time given were just enough and reasonable. Our guide Pataa is friendly and fun, he is knowledgeable. Forgot the driver's name, he is skilled but should drive carefully.
Recommended for those who can't travel slowly around the Caucasus

I took only Armenia as a day trip because I couldn't get a long holiday. It was a little hard because it was still the off-season and there were five people in the middle of a normal car. The driver Maurice did his best to drive. The day trip means that the time spent at each tourist attraction is short, but I feel fulfilled that I was able to go to Armenia. The members had a good time with good people. The important thing to note is that you must check in advance whether you have a visa (depending on your nationality), If you have entered Azerbaijan, you will be asked a few questions at immigration. (purpose of entry, proof of return flight ticket, phone number, do you know anyone in Armenia, etc.)
