Michalis and Rachel welcome you to our home City, Athens. When you arrive our tour shows you where to eat and shop to experience the best fresh products Athens has to offer. Please note we do not offer food on this tour.
Are you keen to learn about how and where Athenians shop and eat but dont have the usual four hours to spend on it? Then join our 2 hour walking and shopping tour and let us introduce you to the spice, fruit, meat and fish markets and enjoy a Greek coffee made the traditional way from the oldest coffee shop in Athens!
You will have an opportunity to buy herbs, spices, olives, olive oil, natural soap products etc at local prices.
Whilst we do not eat on this tour, you will be introduced to the tavernas and bars where we, like many other Athenians, go to eat and drink! Dont waste time on touristic food when you could go to authentic, traditional places and eat the freshest food in Athens.

This is where the Athenians go to have fun. Locals out enjoying traditional bars and tavernas whilst often listening to live Greek music. Very vibrant and buzzy area.

We will end our tour in the heart of downtown Athens where you can clearly see evidence of the 4 most significant periods of Athenian history.

She took us to wonderful family-owned businesses, introduced us to incredibly welcoming locals, and provided detailed and engaging explanations for every tasting. The food was outstanding and the overall experience was unforgettable. Highly recommended!

Amazing experience where you taste delicious food, in places where probably a regular tourist would never go You get plenty of food and drinks, happy ambiance , memorable experience for your life.

5.00We booked the tour after watching, A New Life In The Sun, C4 and we were not disappointed. Our guide Arela was fantastic, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We loved all the food & drink we tried. A great way to immerse yourself in Greek culture. As it was only the four of us on our tour it felt we had booked a private tour. We highly recommend this tour. Sally, Garry, Lynn & John.

5.00This was our 1st visit to Athens and we had never done a city food tour before. I had spoken to Rachel before we booked the tour and she recommended the one which included the fish and meat market. We where not disappointed from start to finish Rachel’s passion for Greek food and Athens shown throughout. Nothing was too much trouble if you wanted more wine or food she was always accommodating and never rushed the tour at all. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves Greek food with a fantastic tour company 10/10

5.00The food tour was incredible! Ariella and Savas were so passionate and knowledgeable and proud Athenians. The walk went by so quickly and we felt we made new friends. The food is AMAZING! They take you to the side cafes which are under the radar but serve such delicious and authentic food. So much food and wine. This is the best food tour I have been to and I doubt that I will find a better tour anywhere else. Ariella and Savas never stopped smiling. Ariella even insisted on taking a goofy picture of me with grapes. A wonderful start to the day.
