The ride from Arrowtown to Queenstown was amazing, it is a must do. The scenery is ever changing and the ride at points can be a little challenging especially navigating the very high suspension bridges. We stopped for a swim, watched bungee jumping and we all said on future holidays we should investigate bike rides in these locations (def e-bikes). My 4 not 5 star review is the customer experience ad some of the interactions with shop staff was less than impressive. When we arrived and checked in I was glad we got checked in with the staff member I did, I watched and listened to the other staff member who was borderline rude to the guests she was supposed to be serving. We then were collected by the bus driver who was very pleasant and then final before the ride the gentleman who did our safety presentation was excellent, great presenter. We then went off on our ride as we tried to conquer the harder hills (thank god e had the e-bikes) my daughter and I could see my wife struggling a bit. We discussed what gears we used and speed of e-bike with her and off we went again. She was still struggling but we just thought it was user error. About 2/3 of the way my wife & I exchanged bikes and immediately I could see it was not user error but a faulty bike with there seeming to be an issue with the chin/gears. I road the bike with issue most of the way back to Queenstown as my wife was definitely more exhausted then my daughter and myself who had a great experience on our original bikes. On getting back to the office unfortunately we were greeted by the staff member I had seen provide poor service in the morning, on advising her we had issues with the chain, she was completely uninterested and dismissive and changed the subject to focusing on us returning our helmets to the rack. So as I said the ride is a must but the customer experience is a bit 50/50!

Great high performance bikes fit for purpose, our group of 8 thoroughly enjoyed the ride around the lake and out towards Jacks Point.

Great service, friendly staff and nothing too much trouble, would not hesitate to recommend if requiring electric MTBs in Queenstown. We had mûri-day hire and even when we experienced a problem with the battery charger a member of the team came out to our accommodation to fix the problem - customer service at its best!

An amazing ride with fantastic views and a well maintained path diminished by less than customer service oriented staff who twice insisted that rain was not in the forecast, even while it was raining at the time. Glad that we were forced to ahead when they would not cancel as an hour or so into the ride the weather improved.

We enjoyed the easier Frankton Track around Lake Wakapitu. Gorgeous scenery. Ride w different people was matched w the pedal-assist e-bike. I’m tall and they had a tall bike. Asked for a comfy seat :) Note: you may have to turn off and on again to activate pedal-assist. If you don’t feel it on HIGH, reboot the electric. #SeeYourWorld

We've used Around the Basin four or five times now, and every time is a joy. Polite, helpful staff, bikes all ready to go when we arrive. Since we've travelled around since last time, I can say that the quality of bikes here is better than at many other companies. This ride was our family of four (two teenage boys) riding around the Frankton Arm, all the way to Jacks Point and back. The Jacks Point is steep and technical, so an E-bike is an advantage. After four hours, we used about 50% of the charge. Great fun, especially coming back along the Queenstown Trail towards town. Remember to stop in at Altitude Brewing

Friendly staff. Great ebike. The Beach to Bay was awesome. We added on some suspension bridges which meant steep hills up and down. My husband loved that. Was a bit daunting for me... but if you have some experience on bikes, go for it!! Was next to the river when shot over boat went past, woohoo. Take water and snacks. Beach to Bay has cafes etc to stop at though.

We biked to Gibbston to enjoy some wineries and have lunch. Easy to book, lovely staff, great e-bikes (would definitely recommend if you haven’t tried them before - they make the hills abundantly easier and you have more time to enjoy the insane scenery!) and the pick up at the end of the day was easy and appreciated!
