AKA The Shipwreck Bar. This is one of the Fishing Fleets favorite places to grab a drink and share stories. We’ll sample a house specialty or brew and peruse the amazing wall of shame of shipwrecked boats. You will also see amazingly large trophy fish and crab mounted on the walls.
Creek Street
Historic Red Light District along beautiful Ketchikan Creek - a great place for photos and watching the Salmon go up stream to spawn. Along the way there you will hear stories of the colorful past of Ketchikan, see historic buildings, and get time to stretch your legs along fairly flat sidewalks through town.

Fantastic Blend of Local Flavor and History! Fish Tales and Ales was the perfect mix of local charm, historic landmarks, and great storytelling. The tour guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the area—they made every stop engaging and fun. We loved visiting off-the-beaten-path spots alongside iconic historic sites, all while enjoying great local brews. A must-do if you want to experience the real flavor of the region with fantastic guides leading the way!

Wife and I, the time we spent together with Terry Tour's Tales and Ales is a time we will always remember! Terry and his wife Judy gave us a real life look at Ketchikan yesterday and now! A few days after our tour we received a wonderful video replay of our time with Tales and Ales. We would strongly recommend Terry Tours Gary, Sherrie

I learned to fish for salmon, filet, drop crab pots etc. etc. I also became quite acquainted with the fun and quirky fishing town. i have had lots of world trips etc and this Alaska trip was amongst the top of the list. They are so fun and become companions as well as instructors. Hope to do it again. cheers

Met the McFaddens at an over the water, indoor/outdoor (only one in Ketchikan) grill and bar. They twisted my arm in to going on their walking tour of the fishing fleet and pubs in town. It turned out to be the most fun, and informative tour I took during my 2 weeks in Alaska! I really felt I had gained a lot of unique knowledge and perspective about the Alaskan fishing community, town history, and special photo opportunities during the tour. Most of all I had made some new friends of the tour guides and owners, the McFaddens- who truly make this tour a unique and special opportunity get in to the real personality of this special community.

I didn't know what to expect but was looking for a tour that would introduce me to the locals and learn about something new. This tour did just that. I learned about the different ways they fish for salmon and halibut in Alaska, got to meet local fishermen, see the boats up close, and toured the town too. I got a lot out of this 90 minute tour including a couple of beers in the local fishermen's bars. Awesome tour!
