Although we went early morning be prepared for crowds of people. Our guide was fabulous, funny and knowledgeable. Take water, wear a hat, walking shoes and sunscreen. Lunch was good, pasta, bruschetta and tiramisu. Herculaneum was a surprise. Totally different because of the area beautiful mosaics and we also had a very knowledgeable guide with personal stories from his family working on the dig.

The guides were beyond informative and answered all our questions. With the limited time in Pompeii our guide made sure we saw the sites that were the most important and even let us suggest places we wanted to see. I would highly recommended going on this tour!!

This was a very full and enjoyable day. The van that we rode in was very comfortable and had a convenient parking space to the entrance to the sites. The two tours and their guides were excellent and the lunch that was provided at a local restaurant in Pompei was great. The spaghetti and dessert were delicious. Great tour.

Phenomenal! The tour guides were AMAZING!!! The archeologist was incredibly engaging and full of wonderful insights. They canceled inside of 24 hours, but Viator refunded my money and I was able to purchase the same tour for the same price 2 days later. Great service, great tour, top notch!!

Great experience all around. Lunch was a perfect break in the day with some pasta and pizza. We had the van driver, co-ordinator and two different guides. Every one was amazing and knew their subjects. No question was left unanswered. Pompeii is vast and a little overwhelming if you think in terms of learning and seeing it all in a couple of hours. But so worth the experience. Herculaneum is a smaller excavated area and as such, at the end we felt that we had seen what there was to see. One needs to see both places and this was a great way to do it. I highly recommend the smaller group tours so you can easily ask questions and stay with what the guides are saying. My husband is blind and despite the paths and roads being 2000 years old, he was able to keep up with the tour and everyone was so very kind when we lagged a bit. 10/10!
