The Corcovado Activity is 100% about adventure, connecting with nature and enjoying a unique jungle. The tour is unique, you walk between 18 to 20 km, observing different environments, primary and secondary forests, get to swim in the river and waterfall.
Our speciality is looking for non-traditional trails, going out of our comfort zone and getting into the wildest part of Corcovado.
Starting 6 am coming back around 3 or 4 Pm.

What To Expect
The tour starts at 6 am and we pick you up in a 4×4 at our office (if your hotel is not nearby, check with us for more information regarding the pick up). After a 40 minute drive, we arrive at Los Planes station where the adventure begins. This hike of approximately 18-20km is characterized by visiting wild and purest areas of Corcovado, where it is possible to enjoy nature without the human bustle. During the journey we will see an impressive waterfall, we will cross rivers where we can cool off and swim. The trails that we will walk are crossing through an ancient forest of more than 4000 years old. You will walk along irregular trails, with ups and downs and you will find obstacles to cross such as streams, fallen trees.... You will have lunch in the middle of the jungle and the tour will end around 3-4 pm. If you really want to feel nature at its best, we recommend this option. Keep in mind your physical condition. Remember that, even though you are surrounded by wildlife in the jungle, the main focus of this tour is not the animals, but to get to know the jungle and feel the nature. This is the best tour for hiking and adventure lovers!

5.00It is a fantastic experience, if you are willing to walk quite a distance. It is suitable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. We walked through mud, rain, sun and rivers and really enjoyed the jungle in full bloom. In rainy season you will end up completely soaked through.

5.00Our guide Yenrique was fabulous!! He was very funny and we learned a lot about the rain forest. Walking with Yenrique felt very save. The meeting with Alfredo (the man living in the forest) was interesting. We highly recommend this tour even though it was quite tough.

5.00This hike is a challenging one as it does not consist of the almost paved paths as so see so often in Costa Rica. It’s also less traveled as we did not see one other tourist. Yen is a knowledgeable enthusiastic guide. We saw an anteater so we were very lucky as this part of the jungle (as it is not so touristy) the animals don’t see many humans and rather stay away. I really can recommend this hike to people that love real hiking.

Having been a guide in Africa before, I immediately recognized Eduardo’s true skills not just his deep knowledge, but also his passion for nature and his commitment to helping others understand its importance. 5.00This is an amazing jungle experience. Our tourguide Emilio did an excellent job. He give a lot of information of rainforest and animals. He answers all your questions and takes care of the group, allthough all were fit to walk this trail. You should be able to walk this trail with moderate fitness, but still it is climbing and descending on steep parts, sometimes using a rope. We had a wonderfull day, walking this 17 km trail. And I need to mention Alfredo, living 8n the middle of the rainforest on his own, having an “Magic room” you have to see.
