The Corcovado Activity is 100% about adventure, connecting with nature and enjoying a unique jungle. The tour is unique, you walk between 18 to 20 km, observing different environments, primary and secondary forests, get to swim in the river and waterfall.

Our speciality is looking for non-traditional trails, going out of our comfort zone and getting into the wildest part of Corcovado.

Starting 6 am coming back around 3 or 4 Pm.

What To Expect

The tour starts at 6 am and we pick you up in a 4×4 at our office (if your hotel is not nearby, check with us for more information regarding the pick up). After a 40 minute drive, we arrive at Los Planes station where the adventure begins. This hike of approximately 18-20km is characterized by visiting wild and purest areas of Corcovado, where it is possible to enjoy nature without the human bustle. During the journey we will see an impressive waterfall, we will cross rivers where we can cool off and swim. The trails that we will walk are crossing through an ancient forest of more than 4000 years old. You will walk along irregular trails, with ups and downs and you will find obstacles to cross such as streams, fallen trees.... You will have lunch in the middle of the jungle and the tour will end around 3-4 pm. If you really want to feel nature at its best, we recommend this option. Keep in mind your physical condition. Remember that, even though you are surrounded by wildlife in the jungle, the main focus of this tour is not the animals, but to get to know the jungle and feel the nature. This is the best tour for hiking and adventure lovers!

A day full of impressions, interesting information surrounded by beautiful nature💚 In a small group, there was an incredible amount of time to marvel, discover and ask questions. Our guide (Daniel) told a lot and made the day a naturalist's day.

The whole experience was just beyond words! Yen is an amazing guide. He knew so much about the jungle and the animals and he showed us the most extraordinary things, including a very big spider inside a tiny hole in a tree, and sitting inside a huge, ancient tree 😍 The trip is in a small group and is the perfect combination between adventure (like crossing rivers and swimming in waterfalls) and seeing so many trees, plants and animals. We had an unfortunate experience with another trail company and Top Trails arranged this trip for us last minute the evening before. The whole team was just amazing! It’s the best team in Drake bay to take you to the jungle! 🐆🌴

Our guide, Yen from Top trails at Sirena Station, Corcovado was polite, knowledgeable and very friendly. He took time to make sure we were comfortable and made the whole experience totally amazing. We had the best time. On the boat trip to Sirena we saw a humpback whale with a calf as well as dolphins. At Sirena we were lucky enough to see Tapir, an anteater, all 4 monkey species in Costa Rica, pecaries a crocodile and much much more. On the boat ride home we were extremely lucky to see and follow a pod of false killer whales. Lunch was provided at Sirena station whiich was delicious. One of us is on a low fodmap diet and they prepared a special meal which was very much appreciated and enjoyed. We would definitely do the tour again and have already recommended it to friends. Yen shared photos and videos he had taken during the day which was a lovely touch which we have not had from any other guide over many years.

An unforgettable experience. The route is very fun with lots of obstacles and rivers to cross, quite an adventure! And best of all is the final part when you reach the waterfall. It was spectacular and guides Aldo and Yen made the experience much better! Thank you and pure life.

The experience was amazing and unique. We were able to be practically alone throughout the tour, only our group making it more authentic. We walk through primary forest and live the adventure 100%. Our guide always kept an eye on us at all times and explained many things about fauna and flora. It has certainly been one of the best experiences of my life.

It is a fantastic experience, if you are willing to walk quite a distance. It is suitable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. We walked through mud, rain, sun and rivers and really enjoyed the jungle in full bloom. In rainy season you will end up completely soaked through.

We had a very tough, but beautiful trip through the jungle! You must be fit! It is a lot of climbing and scrambling and descending again, on slippery ground, often wading through water, so regularly changing between hiking shoes and water shoes.

A great trip with plenty to see in a great location. Our guide,Edward, was excellent- really knowledgable and able to find various creatures, plants and things of interest. Location beautiful and the getting there and back were fun too (big thanks to Pacific Expeditions CR who were extremely helpful and flexible in helping us recover from a fairly disastrous booking error). We had a great time and would recommend highly.
