Before this trip, we weren’t sure what to expect. We had heard that Corcovado can get crowded and that wildlife sightings aren’t always guaranteed. What we quickly learned is that the right guide really makes all the difference—and Marlon was outstanding. From day one, Marlon made sure we had an amazing experience. Our days were full of walks through the park, and he shared so much knowledge about the animals and the rainforest. Because of him, we saw incredible wildlife, including an anteater, crocodile, and sloth, just to name a few. Marlon also encouraged us to experience the forest in a deeper way—not just by looking, but by listening and taking in everything around us. It made the whole experience feel more real and memorable. We were a small group of just five people, and many times we had great wildlife sightings completely to ourselves, away from the crowds. The highlight of the trip was seeing a tapir after most people had already given up for the day. That moment wouldn’t have happened without Marlon’s intuition and patience. This trip truly showed us how much a great guide

We did a 2 day with an overnight with our guide Alexandra. Alexandra was a super guide for us, and we were very lucky that it was just the two of us with her. On the first day, Alexandra led us into a very muddy part of the forest and in the 4 and a half hours we did not meet another group. She wanted us to experience the forest as if we were alone and that was memorable. Her approach and abilities are also memorable, we saw lots of interesting birds , and of course monkeys, but also insects and fungi and plants. Over subsequent walks, we saw deer and squirrel, caiman and crocodile, a fer-de- lance, agouti, peccaries and memorably a tree climbing anteater. I can safely say we would have seen none without her. Even on the return journey we saw dolphin and boobies fishing together. The food is good at the station, you will need to rent boots, and I' d recommend bringing flipflops for walking in the station, and water shoes for embarking and disembarking. Samsung users bring a waterproof pouch for your phone. The trip is expensive, but to experience the forest an overnight is highly recommended, as is Alexandra as a guide. Thanks Alexandra and Pachego.

We booked the 2-day tour of Corcovado National Park as a couple and were totally thrilled. The entire tour was highly professionally planned, from boat pick-up at Drake Bay to tours of the national park to Sirena Station, where meals were taken and you spent the night. We had caught Ayder as a guide and thus probably the most motivated guide - which is definitely a positive thing! He guided us through the rainforest in the total of four tours, discovered a lot of animals, enlarged them for us on his spotting scope and shared his knowledge of plant and animal life with us again and again. And when looking at a tapir, he also doesn't shy away from completely exhausting the time you have and navigating you several times over muddy paths - as the tapir has always looked for a new place in the forest. If you want to see as many animals as possible in the untouched nature, the tour is an absolute recommendation and Ayder is just the right guide for you. We loved it! The food in the Sirena station is great, the beds pragmatic - we slept well. You go to the national park and back on a speedboat. Therefore, you should cope with some swell.

This tour was a major disappointment due to the guide, Jorge. He frequently complained about the heat and showed little enthusiasm, making minimal effort to spot wildlife beyond animals that were already obvious. There was no attempt to find hidden or less visible species, which is the main reason for booking a guided tour in Corcovado. The evening walk on day one was rushed and cut short at 5:00 pm, while other groups returned closer to 6:00 pm, resulting in very limited sightings. Before the morning walk, Jorge said he would not do the walk if it rained, despite rain being normal in the rainforest. During the walk he attempted to end it early, and only after I questioned this did we continue and see a tapir — the highlight of the trip. On the final day, we were rushed to the boat far earlier than necessary and missed the last activity. Overall, the guiding fell well below expectations for a tour of this cost and reputation.

We did the 2 day tour from Corcovado with them. We have had the luck, to have Alexandra as our guide: Her knowledge about the nature, her respect to the wildlife and in particular her "eagles eyes". She was highly concentrated on every walk and showed us from the tiny frog, to the Tapir, the largest mammal, all 4 monkey species of C.R, all kinds of birds., ant eater.. insects..... a unique experience.

This activity will remain in my heart forever. I was deeply moved by the nature and shared respect of the guides towards her. I think Eric was the best guide, he teaches us the song of birds, the smell of animals, the characteristics of each animal and the history of the natural park. I was impressed by his professionalism and it is clear that he is passionate about his work. Moreover he has a long view and stares at his phone so you can very well observe the animals and you receive photos of them that sound like pictures of professionals. Moreover, it is much better than the 1 day tour because we are a group of 5 people max and we are alone most of the time because we do not have the same schedule as the 1 day tour. It’s a cost but I highly recommend it surpassed my expectations and I especially recommend Eric who will gladly share his dedication to wildlife. The refuge is very nice and very clean, I had a great stay at the refuge Sirena.
