This tour is a must for any wildlife enthusiast. I particularly highly recommend Ayder of Pacheco tours as a guide, if you can get him. He is both passionate and knowledgeable about the animals and knows where they tend to hang out. He did not rest until we had seen all the mammals in the park (apart from the ultra-illusive big cats). We had a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with a baby anteater riding on its mamas back right next to the path and then climbing a tree to fest on termites, followed by a mama and baby sloth both chomping on leaves with their faces visible, just a few metres on. Ayder also went above and beyond to track a tapir from its sleeping spot, moving through the bush and swimming across a lagoon, so that we saw it just as it emerged on the path at dusk. We also observed mother and baby monkeys, a pregnant coati, peccaries (bush pigs), toucans, macaws, an owl and countless other birds, reptiles and insects. There was a profound respect for nature and the animals throughout so I left feeling utterly elated!

Our 2-day trip to Corcovado was truly unforgettable. My wife and I were blown away by the incredible wildlife we encountered along the way. What made the experience exceptional was our guide, Ayder. He was absolutely amazing — incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about the ecosystem. His ability to spot wildlife from what seemed like impossible distances was impressive, and he shared so much insight about the plants, animals, and conservation efforts in the park. He also made sure we felt comfortable and safe throughout the entire trip. If you’re considering visiting Corcovado, I highly recommend doing a multi-day tour and, if possible, asking for Ayder. It was an adventure we will never forget.

The tour is well organized and our guide Erik was very skilled in finding animals and prepared in providing explanations. The stay in Sirena station was suggesting experience, although you must be ready to give up to some comfort. The park is magical and a must-see in costa rica

We had a fantastic time! We were fortunate enough to be in a small group (4 of us in total as the other couple was sick). Our guide (“Aly”) planned our days such that we avoided crowds (much appreciated!) which I think increased the amount of wildlife we were able to see. The food was great and the accommodation was like “glamping”. Lots of fun! We would do it again. :)

Hot and sweaty fun as we saw monkeys, tapirs, spiders, frogs, bats, a variety of birds and a sloth. Our guide, Luis, knew where to look and his trusty spotter scope gave us close looks and great photos with our cellphones. The overnight stay allows you four hikes to observe animals (day trips have only one hike). Food, showers and sleeping arrangements were pretty good, but its the flora & fauna that make this unforgettable. You will get wet and tired--embrace the experience

Our tour guide José was extremely knowledgeable and was the perfect role model in terms of what it means to respect nature. He encouraged us to ask questions, and was amazing at spotting wildlife. We saw multiple tapirs, monkeys, and birds galore. The station itself was very clean and the food was delicious (beans and rice, plantain, vegetables, protein). Pro tip - go easy on breakfast as all the meals can be really heavy (which is good on day 1 as you will need more fuel) We made the mistake of bringing all our luggage with us, which was not ideal as it made embarking/disembarking very difficult. If you can afford it, book the extra night at your hotel to hold your bags. Also, if your feet are sensitive, be sure to pack water shoes as there is no formal dock and you have to wade out to the boat, and the shore is rocky. The Hikes are pretty simple and on level ground. The day 2 hike is more muddy and slightly more challenging, but if you are in decent shape it should be fine. For water, I packed 1L per two hour hike and was fine.
