PLEASE BRING PASSPORTS. The natural areas of La Gomera are the very essence of the island. Discover endless trails, breathtaking viewpoints and charming hamlets in a privileged natural environment.
La Gomera is full of charming places: picturesque hamlets among ravines in the middle of nature, villages with traditional and rural architecture and historic buildings of great importance due to their Columbian past.
A fantastic Canarian menu is included in the price and you will be lucky enough to listen to the live silbo canario. The silbo gomero is a whistled language practised by some inhabitants of the Canary Islands to communicate across ravines. The silbo transforms the vocalised sounds of any natural human language into tonal whistles recognisable at a distance.

PASSPORTS IMPORTANT !!! We depart from your hotel at approximately 07:00 AM to the port of Los Cristianos. There the ferry of the company "Fred Olsen" will be waiting for us to take us to San Sebastián de La Gomera, the capital of the island.
Once in La Gomera, we will take the southern route and make a brief stop next to the Roque de Agando, a curious rock formation typical of the island. Its origin is the magma of the volcanoes that shaped the island and which, over time, has been eroded to what we can see today. It is a unique witness to what happened on La Gomera millions of years ago and offers spectacular views, especially from the base of the Roque.

Unfortunately, all 4 of us decided that this excursion was worse than our 17 hour travel day. The bus picked us up at 7AM. We spent 90 minutes picking up others, which is understandable, but our resort is 10 minutes from the ferry. We would have rather had a chance to eat breakfast and taxi to the ferry closer to the 10 o’clock hour. Once we got to the ferry we waited 30 minutes to board. So, eat there or you won’t get another chance until 2:00PM. Thankfully, I had snacks with us. It is a 45 minute ferry ride to La Gomera. So, even though we were picked up at 7AM, we didn’t get to the island until 11AM - 4 hours wasted. Once there, you get back on a bus and basically you are on the bus the rest of the day. Yes, it was cloudy, windy, and very rainy not allowing us to see any views. We stopped at 3 locations in the national park. Two stops we stayed on the bus because you couldn’t see anything. One being the visitor center which is nothing but tourist trap. There is not much to see or do but a little education regarding the island. We then drove past a black sand beach and made it to lunch at 2PM. Lunch was okay but portions were VERY small. After lunch you return to the bottom of the mountain and have one hour of spare time. At this time it was 4:20PM. Everything was closed for some reason. We ended up going back to the ferry and ordering drinks which was the best part of the day. After a 50 minute ferry ride we took a taxi back to our resort because we were not sitting on the bus for another 90 minutes to wait to be dropped off at our resort. We left at 7AM and got back to our resort at 7PM - an absolute waste of an entire day! If you go to La Gomera, get a private tour guide and take a taxi to and from the ferry.

Yaiza thank you for the great trip to La Gomera. Despite the humble weather, your friendly and open nature kept you in a good mood. Everything went as planned, from hotel pickup, to ferry and lunch, everything worked. After 12 hours we arrived back at the hotel exhausted but happy. Price/performance TOP and overall a successful excursion we would book again every time.

Our guide Rose was very enthusiastic and competent and managed the large group very well. Our driver Francisco was very skilled at handling the narrow hillside roads and was patient waiting for us including in rain. We had a good visit of La Gomera in variable weather, views around Hermigua and Agulo were particularly awe inspiring. Unfortunately there was rain when we got close to national park, and mist obstructed some views. So be prepared for rain and sun! Overall I enjoyed my visit and hope to return, for better weather, in future!

A well organised trip to La Gonera. Our guide Enrico was informative, funny, kind, and proficient in many languages. Enrico made what would have been a great trip exceptional. Pepe our driver was great too -the two of them a good double act. There was a lot to pack in but we never felt rushed. Highly recommended. Thank you Enrico, Pepe, and island excursions.

Excursion to the fascinating island of La Gomera with our guide Julian! Would have given 5 stars but organizing the pickup point with Island Excursions from Puerto de la Cruz was very complicated. Had to walk (from our apartment) 1.3 km with steps and a steeply sloping street to climb early in the morning in darkness. Had asked Island Excursions to change the pickup location but to no avail. Upon arrival at the port no guide to greet us. On the way back to the port of Los Cristianos, we had to look for the bus to take because the one Julian indicated was not there. On the way back to Puerto de la Cruz, fortunately the driver (at our request) was able to get us off the bus down the street that we had to get on in the morning.

I bought a guided experience in French. The guide gave the news in 3 languages one after the other. Sometimes the news arrived late sometimes very long in one very short language in the other.

Good day visiting but we had asked for a visit in French and the guide did not speak French. Required to understand Italian or English. An Indianajungles with greasy hair..in regards to transportation no problem on time and direct back to the hotel. Regarding the simple and family meal but good.

Nice to have seen the island, but a lot of money for what you get. Poor communication regarding departure point and time of departure. Also at departure point a lot of confusion about which bus. Very chaotic. Many photo opportunities is rap-rap. Bus out and leave again within 5 minutes. A schedule is being completed and you can tell. In addition, things are told about the island in 3 languages. With us Spanish, English and German. Due to the moderate command of English and German by the tour guide, you will only get half of it. Our conclusion, grab yourself a car and take your time for the beautiful things.
