On our one day tour to Oban from Glasgow you’ll experience a little of everything that Scotland’s spectacular natural beauty has to offer.
This is the rugged Western Highlands where majestic mountains tumble down to glorious lochs. Castles and glens hide tragic tales of centuries ago, and bustling ports serve up tasty food and award-winning attractions.
Your friendly driver-guide will bring Scottish legends to life as we share our country, from the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond to haunting Glencoe.

Tony was a brilliant guide, full of wit and very knowledgeable about the land. I was absolutely enthralled by the stories we were hearing about the land, and it was a nice paced sample of the highlands. The guide was also able to bring the group together, constantly checking in that we were all comfortable together even in the erratic scotland weather. I came in as a solo backpacker and actually had some good group interaction. It was rainy as it often is in scotland (260 days of the year according to Tony) but didn’t put a damper on a great time.

Just got back from a wonderful day tour, our 3rd visit to Glasgow but our first visit outside the city. Colin our driver was just the best guide to have. Friendly, humorous & professional, Colin gave us just the right mix of history, information & banter! We had the most perfect sunny weather, very cold but dry which is an enormous bonus! We did really strike it lucky. There were only 9 of us on the very comfortable 16 seater Mercedes minibus, which meant we could spread out, with plenty of room for all. The bus was warm & smooth riding with usb charging sockets by the seats, which proved very handy for all the photos we took on our phones. Plenty of photo stops, comfort breaks & time was shopping as well as sightseeing. We enjoyed a delicious fish & chip lunch in Oban. It was an absolutely brilliant day, excellent value for money, the scenery was absolutely stunning, my favourite being Glencoe as the sun was going down, over the snow dusted peaks. I'd wholeheartedly recommend taking this trip, what a great company Discover Scotland is, they've got it spot on! . Luckily we're only an hour's flight away near Bristol, & I know we'll definitely be back again in the future, to take some more tours.

Impeccable service, lovely leader, stunning sceneries! What more could anyone wish for? The Discover Scotland Tours Team has been a pleasure to plan with, delivering a tour that has been such a memorable experience! Inveraray Castle felt like stepping into a fairytale. A beautiful blend of grandeur and warmth, rooms filled with incredible period furniture, family portraits, treasured heirlooms. Surrounded by gorgeous gardens, the calm atmosphere is perfect for a stroll back in time.. Glencoe felt almost otherworldly, a haunting silence, towering mountains and deep valleys; this is a place that stays with you long after you leave. Next stop, Oban, a picturesque little harbour town, so full of character! Sea breeze, lovely people, great seafood, stunning bay views, it instantly draws you in its charming atmosphere! Then, Loch Lomond… serene but dominant! Shimmering water, tranquil green hills, a majestic scenery that commands your attention! And of course, a big shout out to our brilliant leader (in a kilt!), Tony! He was punctual, with a big smile on his face and a friendly, cheerful manner for us all. Even though we had a vague notion of Scotland’s history, Tony proved to be incredibly knowledgeable and brilliant in passing all this information to his audience. His accent and flow were very easy to keep up with, and all the information we received was so interesting. It wasn’t just a history class - it was a journey into Scottish culture, enriched with all sorts of topics, such as music, cooking, cattle, local customs, nature facts, even city development. Everything was there; all wrapped with a gorgeous sense of humour whenever the moment called for it! All in all, this tour was an unforgettable experience — perfectly balanced, full of wonder, laughter, and the true spirit of Scotland; we can’t recommend it highly enough!

My first time being in Scotland and wanted a way to explore and see the beauty of the highlands that I always read about and the history. Gary was our guide and I really want to give him a big shout out for doing what he does. I am American and had no trouble understanding what he was saying. He knew the history, told it in a fun and very entertaining way, we laughed and awed. The trip was very comfortable. He also went out of his way to show us extra stuff along the way. Can't thank him enough for making the experience worth every single pence. I will definitely be looking forward to another trip. Thank you again Gary for giving us a wonderful experience.

Our Driver was Colin. From the minute we arrived at the bus, til the moment we stepped off; he was full of knowledge, charm and wit!! Even the unpredictable weather didn't stop us! We learned lots, laughed lots, and managed to fit in a couple of beers at a few of the stops too. We even experienced a wise old Highland Stag along our route, with thanks to Colins beady eye!!! Sadly back to Yorkshire in the rain now, but with the best memories x

The Full-Day Oban Castles and Glencoe Guided Tour from Glasgow was amazing. Everything was easy, relaxed, and completely stress-free. Our guide, Scott, was fantastic, so knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely fun to chat with. We loved hearing stories about his dog! Even with classic Scottish rain, the scenery was stunning and every stop felt memorable.

Chris was an amazing and patient driver and tour guide. He was always very flexible when it came to changing the stops to fit the weather alongside the itinerary, so that we could still enjoy the views without getting wet or at least not so badly. There was ample time for major attractions to rest and relax, and to enjoy the many different stops. I highly recommend this tour to everyone who is visiting Glencoe, Inveraray and Oban for the first time.
