Craigie's Farm not used
Craigie's farm is a 30 minute drive from Edinburgh city centre. This is a working farm that has Highland Cows that love carrots as treats. There's also a farm shop and cafe where you can grab a coffee and/or a bite to eat to take on the go. Please note that in the winter months the cows may not be available. Whereas we will endeavour to take you to a different site to see cows, you will not be able to feed them. If in doubt, contact us before your tour.
Luss
A 90 minute drive will take us to the 'foot steps' of the Highlands and the beautiful village of Luss nestled on the banks of Loch Lomond, overlooking the Ben Lomond munro. Apart from stunning views of Luch Lomond, Luss is a place steeped in history, and here you can find an extremely rare Viking Hogback gravestone. There's a couple of gift shops, toilet facilities and places for refreshments.

Great driver! Wonderful trip to the highlands. Found us a great restaurant that accommodated our food allergies for lunch. Great trip!!!

Colin was such a kind, knowledgeable and fun guide. He was so wonderful for our children and made a fantastic recommendation for lunch! We loved learning more about Scotland from someone who clearly appreciates the beauty and history.

I had a somewhat long, detailed review written - I went ‘back’ to correct a typo (not using the browser button, just the navigation within Viator) and it disappeared. So…I am NOT a huge fan of this site, and their technology. And I have had some lousy experiences, I don’t know that they screen tour operators very well (or at all?) - which is why I am writing a review. I depend on reviews when choosing a tour operator, so want to be sure to share my experience. Our tour guide, Chrissie, was excellent. She reached out a few days before to confirm, and recommended moving up our start time - being the end of November she wanted to be sure we had as much daylight as possible. She arrived on time, and the tour was great. She also asked at the beginning if we had any plans or a set time by which we needed to return, we did not - so she encouraged us to take our time at several stops, we definitely went well over the 8 hours. She is very knowledgeable and made it a fun day! I would definitely recommend this tour - it wasn’t the cheapest but as my wife has some mobility issues we wanted a private tour at our pace and it was absolutely worth it.

Phil is a great guide....he is friendly, has a fun sense of humor and knows Scotland roads well and is a great photographer! I went on two custom tours with Phil this September. I planned a custom Outlander tour for me and some friends. We planned where we wanted to go. Phil took us to each place seamlessly and took photos of us and the iconic Outlander locations. And as an added bonus, took us to a beautiful sunset loch view on the way back to Edinburgh. The 2nd custom tour was to the Northumberland area of Northern England from Edinburgh. Our main sites were to see Alnwick & Bamburgh Castles. On the way we stopped at the Scotland/England border. Got the half in Scotland & half in England shot! After seeing the castles, we stopped by the coastal beach right near Bamburgh Castle and got some great photos! I highly recommend touring with Phil and E2G Tours! Phil took all these photos!

This was a truly unforgettable experience. Our day in the Highlands with Phil felt like stepping into a living painting. Every step (Loch Lomond, Kilchurn Castle, Glencoe) was magnificently beautiful. Phil is also a wonderful photographer. His conversation was thoughtful and easy. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to write poetry about this day!

Our guide Jimmy was fantastic. He was funny and informative and we had a great time with him. The Highlands were amazing, and we just got a taste. We’ll have to come back to see more. It’s so beautiful and peaceful. This is a great way to tour the Highlands in a day.

We did a private tour with Simon and had a wonderful time! Simon was very knowledgeable and shared very interesting information about Scotland and all the places we visited. He also adjusted our private tour to accommodate our interest and likes — stopped for coffee and food as needed! We really enjoyed this tour because it allowed us to see the parts of Scotland in one day we otherwise wouldn’t have been able to see. Highly recommend doing this tour with Simon!

We booked a tour from Edinburgh to the Scottish Highlands for the day. Colin conveniently picked us up directly in front of our Airbnb (and dropped us off there after the tour). We had a lovely drive, spotting castles along the way and learning history, too. He took us to a beautiful little town and my family and I had lunch there. We continued up to Glencoe to view the beautiful mountains and have a “wee” taste of Scottish whisky. The drive back was pleasant, as Colin is a great conversationalist. I highly recommend this tour if you’re interested is getting a glimpse of the Highlands for the day!

Fantastic tour. Went above and beyond at each stage of our trip - we saw the Kelpies, Glencoe, Loch Ness, Doune Castle and fed hairy coos - with stops for photos whenever we asked. Highly recommended.
