What To Expect

Cabo Girao

Our tour starts in Funchal, from there, we will embark on a journey towards the area of Cabo Girão. Renowned for its breathtaking skywalk viewpoint, one of the highest sea cliffs in the world at a height of 580 meters. Our stop here will last approximately 20 minutes, allowing ample time to soak in the insane scenery.

Praia Do Seixal

Next on our itinerary is Seixal Beach, where we will pause for approximately 25 minutes. The renowned black sand beach, Recently voted Europe's third best beach by European Best Destinations, a dramatic landscape along the north coast, will remind you of some scenes from Jurassic Park (minus the dinosaurs, of course!).

This turned into a private tour that turned out to be a fantastic day and experience. My guide shared lots of knowledge about the island and is clear he loves Madeira and his job. There were many memorable moments including my swim at Porto Muniz and the beauty of the Fanal Forest. I think the thing that sticks with me though were some short stops made at some scenic and maybe more relatively unknown spots that my guide knew which provided scenic, breathtaking views. I would recommend this tour if you are looking to learn about the island and enjoy a day soaking in its beauty.

It was so totally amazing, we did the north west jeep adventure , our guide Nelson was so phenomenal, funny and shared so much information, we felt the experience of the culture of Madeira !

If you want to beat the crowds but visit the hot spots and have all the fun along the way, book a 4x4 tour with Remote Madeira. André was an amazing driver who made this so much more fun by driving us through the unbeaten tracks be it via a tiny town or the forest. We got to meet two fabulous other women along the way, experience sun, wind, rain, hail, snow and a double rainbow. This is a great way to customise your trip according to the weather that is sometimes unpredictable. We will be back for more!

The tour was absolutely amazing with focus on local areas whilst viewing beautiful landscapes on an off road journey. Raphael adapted the trip to our preferences and added so much fun to the day. It has made our holiday and we booked another tour the next day. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants an individualised tour of Madeira.

We had a wonderful day touring West Madeira with Rafa spending the day visiting the best parts of the island with numerous stops at view points, rock pools, off roading, trying poncha in a local bar etc...Rafa had a great attitude and you can tell how proud he is of his home country which we felt throughout our day spent with him. We had as much time as we wanted at various stops and the day flew by! I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a unique private tour of Madeira!

We absolutely loved this tour of Madeira and will be booking again next time we return. Our guides Francisco and Rafael were so passionate and also very knowledgeable of the area. Francisco was a great driver and made us feel very safe whilst also enjoying the off road adventure. The tour was a perfect way to explore the island and there was enough time at every spot to take in the views and walk around. I would thoroughly recommend this company and wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

Absolutely brilliant day, our guide was so knowledgeable, funny, an excellent driver and commentator, it felt very safe even off road down some quite steep sections of road. Covered all the places we hoped to see, spectacular views. Also better to support local companies rather than with a big tour group via flight/hotel company.

The entire tour was amazing from start to end, Francisco our driver was great, made us laugh and was super engaging, he took us to some great spots and allowed us to explore for a good amount of time at each spot. I cannot recommend this company enough for a great day trip tour of the island!!
