What To Expect
Treasure Hunt Chester will take you on a beautiful route, and send you to fab places, all at your own pace. Because it’s all on your phones, it’s super flexible and there’s nothing to print. You’ll have a laugh solving the clues and following the maps. Something in a shop window catch your eye? No problem. Take it at your own pace. Even turn it into a pub crawl! Along the way you’ll learn interesting facts and stories keeping you entertained. By the end of it all, you’ll have a great overview of Chester and what you’d like to explore next. It works like WhatsApp, so it’s easy to use. You don’t need to download or print anything and it doesn’t need any permissions. Plus, you get to start when you want. Captain Bess will invite you and your friends to join the hunt. Bess sends you a series of treasure maps to your phones, leading you around the city, and a series of clues, so you have to search the city for answers. Don’t worry if you can’t find the answer right away, you can always ask for hints. Along the way, she’ll tell you interesting facts and stories about the things you’re spotting.

4.00At £15 per person, it was expensive for what it was. Some of the clues were a bit obscure, especially around the cathedral. However, it was an interesting way to find the hidden gems of Chester and to point out things we would otherwise not have noticed. There were a couple of suggested refreshment stops en route and it would have been nice if they offered a discount to weary treasure hunters (only the final stop did this).

5.00A wonderful hunt for clues around Chester, taking in many of the historic parts of the City that otherwise you would just walk past without noticing. The logistics and way to play were simple to follow making this a really fun adventure.

5.00Loved this. The clues were challenging but manageable. We had a good wander around. Chester and saw things were probably wouldn’t have seen otherwise. You have the flexibility to take your time & we stopped several times and ended up finishing on a second day. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely look to do another one in a different city.

5.00I completed this treasure hunt today with my family and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am a teenager and I think any ages would have a good time doing this. I totally recommend this for anyone in the future and it’s a lovely way to spend hours with loved ones. It’s a good way to visit lots of interesting and historic places in Chester and learn lots of facts about the history of this lovely city. It took us 4 hours all together as we stopped halfway for lunch, which was a good way to have a break from all the walking and fuelled us up. I totally recommend this treasure hunt!!! - Ruby

5.00This was fantastic!! Did as a small group for a birthday trip around Chester and thoroughly enjoyed it. We’re regulars in Chester but the hunt showed us lots of places that we hadn’t seen before, you’re able to do the hunt at your own pace stopping for a few drinks and food along the way.

5.00Having completed the York treasurer hunt we decided to purchase the Chester version. Really enjoyed both and seen lots of areas of both cities that we wouldn’t ordinarily go to or see. Some fascinating facts along the way made this adventure really enjoyable. Would definitely buy more for other cities as we visit.
