Flower Dome
The Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay is a marvel of climate control and botanical artistry. It is the world's largest glass greenhouse, replicating a mild, dry Mediterranean climate. Here’s what you can see and do inside: Key features and permanent zones: The Succulent Garden: A stunning collection of cacti and succulents from arid regions worldwide. Look out for towering cacti, unusual shapes and rare species. The Olive Grove: Home to ancient olive trees, some of which are over 1,000 years old and were transplanted from the Mediterranean. It's a serene area with a timeless feel. The Baobabs: These iconic, bulbous trees from Africa and Australia are a favourite subject for photographers. The South African Garden: Showcases the incredibly diverse and colourful flora of the Cape region, including proteas and ericas. Australian Garden: Features eucalyptus, acacias, and other iconic Australian plants.
Cloud Forest
The Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay is like stepping into a cool, misty mountain forest—right inside Singapore! It's built around the world’s tallest indoor waterfall (35 meters high). You can explore different levels of the “mountain” and discover amazing plants along the way. Here’s what you shouldn’t miss: 1. The Cloud Mountain & Waterfall 2. The Lost World 3. The Crystal Mountain 4. The Cloud Walk & Treetop Walk 5. The Secret Garden 6. Exhibits on Nature & the Environment

We arrived at opening time, so no lines. Our first visit was the flower dome and wow what an impressive set up with some incredible displays. We were very impressed. The Cloud Forrest was next in time to see the mist display, again another worthwhile experience. We would recommend both.

The Gardens by the Bay was a wonderful experience and well worth visiting. We also enjoyed the city bus trip. The only problem we experienced was that the trip did not show up in my trips section of Trip advisor and took some digging to find the right part of the email for both parts with the QR code rather than the bar code. This was a potential problem as it relied on having data available and, had I realised this before the trips I would have made sure to have clicked all the hyperlinks to find the correct bits. Luckily the staff at the Gardens at the Bay managed to help us find the QR codes Also the email said it started at 9 but there was no time limit on either section

Surprisingly, this was not very cool-- from an adult perspective. One dome was completely about Jurasic Park (highly commercial) and the other was a collection of plants without very much written explanation.
