What was written in the description about the tour was substantially different from what we experienced. Initially, we did not appear on the tour guide’s list so we had to go into the business office to figure out why. We got added - no explanation given. Then we went on the bus tour which was okay, not great. (We did tours in other locations in Switzerland so I am using those as a comparison). After the bus tour, we all hopped on a mini tram to tour the old part of Geneva. That portion was pretty good. Recorded descriptions of all the sites so it was easy to understand. Afterward, it was time for the boat tour of Lake Geneva. Again, we were not given passes for that so those had to be delivered to the final tram stop (everyone else had their boat passes already). Everyone else on our tour went together to a boat tour with the guide except us. We had tickets to another boat without a guide (we could have simply used our SwissPass provided by the hotel for all types of transportation while in the city instead). When we booked the tour it stated that the cooking portion would include a vegetarian option (because one of us is vegetarian). We got a feeling that this tour was way off so while cruising the lake we looked at the description again and now there is no vegetarian option, but dried beef is specified. After the lake cruise, we inquired about this with the office and they said we could just omit the beef. Of course that is an option, but not exactly what we thought we were getting as this was to be dinner for us as well. (we were told that we were the only ones doing the cooking portion so I’m not sure why they couldn’t give a good vegetarian option.) The office staff was not helpful at all and very defensive. As best I can tell from the way it all happened is that we were the only ones to book that particular tour so they put our tour together by adding pieces and parts to other tours. The timing was off from the original description and things did not line up with the description. I can’t recommend Key Tours or this particular tour - it was not worth the money and was very poorly organized. We had no recourse financially even though we did not get what we signed up for. Buyer beware!
