We had a really great day on this tour and would definitely recommend it, especially for the Giza Pyramids. Our guide, Habiba, was excellent – very friendly, knowledgeable, and great around the pyramids. She did a great job explaining the history and keeping the constant sellers and people trying to sell things away from us, which made the experience much more relaxed. The hotel pickup and drop-off were a big plus and saved us the hassle of dealing with taxis and traffic ourselves. Habiba also helped us get the correct entrance tickets on the day and actually saved us some money, as we were travelling with a 14-year-old that is classified as a student. I don’t think booking the full ticket package through Viator would have allowed for that flexibility. One thing worth mentioning is that doing the Grand Egyptian Museum as part of a half-day tour isn’t really enough time. It was useful having a guide to show us the main highlights, but the museum is huge and definitely deserves more time. I don’t think it’s possible to see it all properly even with a full day. By the afternoon we were quite tired, but that was mainly due to an early start – we flew in from Sharm in the early morning. Overall, a very well organised tour with an excellent guide and a smooth, stress-free experience.

Our experience visiting the pyramids, the camels ride, the Egyptian museum and the papyrus shop was absolutely incredible and beyond amazing . Ahmed E. Is an amazing and kind tour guide with a wealth of knowledge. He’s excited to show you the sites, give you the history and patient to let you enjoy the sites and allowing us to take out time getting the photographs we wanted. He even takes amazing pictures of us! We actually booked a second excursion for the next day and requested Ahmed.

Top notch. Very professional. My wife fell sick the evening before and the guide rescheduled the trip immediately without fanfare. On the day itself, Mohammed Mohey did a fantastic job guiding us through the Giza complex and the GEM. He speaks perfect English and is obviously well-read/ keeps himself updated especially considering the GEM is fairly new. While he was a bit hurried through some parts of the tour, it was probably because he wanted to keep us on schedule for important parts of the tour later. Overall, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. He did take us on a few shopping/culture stops but those were with our full consent (clearly said it was our choice) without any pressure to buy anything (we went to a papyrus and perfume shop without buying anything before buying a couple of interesting spices at a spice shop, albeit at tourist prices). He also helped us withdraw money from a store we visited because my ATM card wasn’t working.

Starting with the new entrance, we walked to all three pyramids in early morning, with our guide highlighting things that we would see in the museum ending with the Spinx and then a short drive to the new museum which is as awe-inspiring as the pyramids themselves. Our guide offered a flexible schedule to allow us enough time to enjoy each pyramid and the Spinx and guided us to the museum highlights and allowed us enough time to explore on our own.

We had the pleasure of touring Egypt with Amal, and she was absolutely fantastic — incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and engaging, with a true passion for Egyptian history that brought every site to life. She connected effortlessly with everyone in our group, from kids to grandparents, and her English was flawless, making everything easy to follow. Amal turned our trip into an unforgettable experience, and we couldn’t recommend her more highly. She was so amazing that we requested another tour with her the second day! We will be recommending her to all our friends and family who visit from the UK!

A majestic museum worthy of the historic significance of its many people and achievements it’s made in shaping our modern world. The museum is modern and appeals to all ages with world class services to allow all to witness its wonders. I recommend combining it with a trip to the pyramids and Spinx with a guide.
