The entire day was the most fabulous day we had and we were able to see so much of Hawaii and the culture. We were able to see where the best beaches in the island are located and take a dip in fabulous water! I had to come back on here to read the reviews again. It's so highly rated and I can't figure out why??? The tour was NOT as advertised. It was one VERY LONG day of advertisements and "if you want to come back." We stopped (and had to pay for) the temple which wasn't on the list, and then the majority of the others were literally just stops at gift stores - there must have been some kind of incentives for Nui because it was absolutely ridiculous. We learned basically zero about the pineapple plantation/macadamia/coffee farms even though those were "stops" yet learned about his 650 pound aunt that broke the couch and returning used items at Costco! We flew by spots that we were suppose to stop at, then stopped at dirty places - one lady in the bathroom said, "It smells like we're literally standing on a pile of sh__" -- and it did - horrid. Lunch was across the street from a dirty beach with homeless people. The snorkeling was filthy. I went in the water but couldn't see 6 inches in front of my face it was so murky. One plus, we did get to see turtles, but you could see those from the beach. Our guide was nice and all, but completely inappropriate (not going into details here) with a few stories he told. He thought he was being funny, but I'm sure glad I didn't have kids with me! Shocking that a company would allow that kind of conversation on a bus full of tourist. I was surprised at his lack of awareness - he talked non stop and I mean non stop for every. single. minute we were on that bus - probably around 9 hours of straight talking - we were exhausted listening by 11am and we still have 7 hours to go! We were doing this tour for my special needs sister and even she said, "Man he talks a lot." And that says a lot. Ugg, I'm getting irritated just writing this knowing I wasted a whole day. I've been on many tours around the world and this is dead last by far! Couldn't wait to get off that bus! Nui, if you have an itinerary, it's best to stick to it, truthfully advertise what you offer, spend some time educating your clients on what they are seeing and while your at it educate your guides on what to say a little bit as not everyone has the knowledge to know what is or is not appropriate and geez, forget all the tourist shops - I can do that online.

This tour is definitely not as advertised. The stops are not what is on the itinerary. Our guide was very nice, it just was not what we had expected or paid for. The tour length also said 8-10 hours and it was over 11 hours. A very long day, with a lot of sitting on a bus waiting for people. Many short stops where they just want you to spend money and hop back on the bus. The time limit given at each location isn’t enforced either, so you spend 15+ minutes waiting for everyone to come back.

We enjoyed this tour. 1 issue: They were late picking us up. They called 5min after pickup time to say they were running late. This was wonderful, but didn't say how long it would take. It was 1 hour. Tour guide was fun, entertaining and informative. Kapono was great. By the end of the tour we were ready for it to be over. It is a long day, be prepared.
