Then, watch a short film explaining the fateful day and its significance & boat ride to Arizona memorial.

USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park
USS Bowfin is a fleet attack submarine that fought in the Pacific during WWII, and helped to make famous the term, “Silent Service.” Bowfin was launched on 7 December 1942, exactly one year after the attack on Pearl Harbor. She was nicknamed the Pearl Harbor Avenger, so it is fitting that her permanent home is at Pearl Harbor, Hawai’i.

5.00Very well run tour with a very personable and informative driver. Clift was exceptional. They pick you up in a small bus at your hotel and drive to the Arizona memorial visitor center. Once inside Clift have us a detailed overview of how the visit works, the timing of the activities and his suggestions. The night before he had texted us a spread sheet showing all the activities, food and restroom availabilities etc. after he dropped us off we watched a short film, looked around at the small museum then boarded the ferry to the Arizona. Once inside the memorial there is park ranger available to answer questions. The ferry takes you back to the visitor center and then you walk a few yards to the USSBOWFIN submarine to walk inside it and then tour its museum. A shuttle provided by the park service then takes you to battleship Missouri. You board and take a brief 25 minute tour led by a park guide then tour the rest of the ship on your own. You then take the same shuttle to the Air Museum where we ate at the cafe then toured the museum. Clift returned to pick us up and drive us back to our hotels after showing us the national cemetery. Extremely well organized and Clift was an amazing guide. Highly recommended

5.00Amazing experience! Went early, not too crowded. Did the Arizona first which was amazing. We didn’t get the four pack because you have to do all four things in 48 hours. We paid separately so we could go for as long as we wanted. They have a free exhibit there that could take 1-2 hrs depending on what you read. Other than that the submarine museum has a fee. If you want to go to the aviation museum or the Missouri you pay then take a shuttle onto Ford Island. If you are military like us, just drive onto the base. Tons of easy parking. There is a touching memorial to USS Oklahoma right before you go to Missouri. All done very well.
