  This tour should have never happened as the weather was horrible. Tried to reschedule or cancel but never heard back from company. On their site they said good weather otherwise they would not go. Very difficult to communicate with them. Be careful when booking.

  Tony was so great. Thank you. He had so much to share about Hawaii along the way. We learned a lot, saw a lot, and even though it was the rainiest weekend we still enjoyed the tour!

  I thoroughly enjoyed my trip. I was able visit places outside the downtown and see the other side of the island. The driver Tony was full of information about the different sites we were able to visit

  This was fine for what it was, but in hindsight, I wish we had just toured the island on our own. The idea is you'll get shown places on the tour and can figure out where to go back to on the rest of your trip (this was said over and over on the tour). The problem is, several of the places we stopped and visited were generally not places you would go back to because they were short stops anyway (blow hole, overlook, macadamia nut shop). A lot of the rest was just driving by, which offered a nice view but not really much of an idea if we wanted to go back or not. The exceptions were Haleiwa (lunch town), the Byodo-in temple, and the Dole Pineapple Plantation. Haleiwa was interesting, several lunch options and a bunch of shops. But since we were eating there, hard to get much for the character of the town (or visit the beach). The temple was great. The time was just about right, which meant we did not need to go back. But it might have been nice to have just a little bit longer. And the Dole Pineapple Plantation we were not very interested in beforehand, and that proved to be the correct expectation. So at least it confirmed out expectations. Had we been on our own, we certainly could not have done everything we were interested in in one day driving around the circle. But this tour didn't really help identify what we were interested in. And, we had to be on the tour timetable, either having to hurry or having to wait at some of the locations. Our tour guide was raised on Oahu, which was appreciated. And we certainly did get some information on Hawaii and Oahu, though maybe not as much as we would have liked. Some of the personal anecdotes were interesting, but some were a little awkward. He was helpful and courteous. Pros: If you are on the ocean side, you do get a nice view of the beaches from the raised bus, better than you would from a passenger vehicle on the road. Someone else is doing the driving. Takes you to some interesting places without you having to research on your own. Bus was comfortable. Cons: Can't stop and get photos along the way, On someone else's timetable. Difficult to see out more than one side of the bus. We've done some other "summary" type tours we liked better. We felt they provided more local information and went to places where there was more to explore than just a short visit, so did do a better job of "sampling" to figure out where to go back to. This was not a bad tour, certainly, and I think for some the pros would outweigh the cons.
