Good afternoon everyone, Wanted to share our experience with Viator on our Kentucky Bourbon Trail weekend. Leading up to our weekend trip the tour group operator would not respond to any type of questions. “The Bourbon Spirit” tour company works as a 3 party for Viator. Days leading up to the event nothing was coming my way as it pertained to our tour; itinerary, times, drivers name, etc. We then asked for help from Viator to align this to ensure we did not waste the thousands of dollars getting there. They ensured me it would be just fine. While in route the phone number of tour operator was busy & continues to be so. I asked Viator to help again, they said be ready @7:15 AM the driver would be there. Well 9:15 rolled around and no driver. Contacted Viator in asking them what to do. They said you can be issued a refund after 7-9 days once the tour operator responded to the email they sent. Why email? The phone was busy for them as well. So in all this unfortunately ruined our trip. They said they would book us for the following day. Well we already lined things up because we leave and hoped to get some type of distillery tours on our drive home. Here’s the kicker, they booked the next day prior to asking me, with the same tour operator. I would highly recommend to not book through Viator! Check all the feedbacks and you will agree. Hope whoever sees this does not have the same experience.

We drove a day to get to Louisville KY for a weekend with the fellas. We were told by customer care to be outside @ 7:15 for pickup as the tour operator never communicated to us. Waited till 9:15 and had to communicate with Viator customer service 3 times in the hopes to contact the tour driver. No luck, our tour operator was supposed to be “The Bourbon Spirit” but unfortunately they never communicated for more than a month leading up to our trip nor the days before. We were told we would be reimbursed once the tour group responded to the email they sent. Because their phone had a busy signal all day. And this was the case leading up to our event. Viator customer care was not help. Was a shame as thousands were spend getting here. Those wishing to book with Viator should look elsewhere.

I don’t drink, but the tour was very interesting and I enjoyed the tour very much. The guide was very knowledgeable and kept things moving at a good pace.

Highly recommend a guided tour due to that fact we do not have to drive between distilleries. Our driver Vladimir was great. Would like to have a little additional time after tours to shop or explore. Overall great experience.

Terrible! They never contacted us with an itinerary or pick up details. Phone number is just a busy signal and no response to messages. Now trying to get a refund and book something else!

The tour operator never showed up to take us on the Kentucky bourbon tour we paid for . I tried several times to reach the operator with no success before the tour was scheduled. The Viatour company could get in touch with the operators either. Still waiting on confirmation for my refund.

A wonderful day trip exploring several distilleries outside of Louisville. Our driver was excellent and we had a nice small group. Each distillery offer a different experience. Four Roses had a very informative tasting. We learned a lot about the distilling process and the history of bourbon. We next went to Woodford. What a beautiful venue! The tour of the facility was fantastic! Last a visit to Buffalo Trace. It’s amazing how much they had recovered only 2 weeks after the flooding. Buffalo Trace offers tastings of limited batch bourbons which was nice. I highly recommend this tour!

Good tour for novice bourbon lovers, luckily we got Buffalo Trace Distillery, in addition to Woodford Reserve and Jeptha Creek. Buffalo was a full tour and tasting, Woodford was just the gift shop and Jeptha was gift shop and tasting. The tastings were superficial but could be helpful for beginners. It was great that we were able to get an allocated bourbon at Buffalo Trace, as they released Blantons that day. Not much to see do at woodford but enjoy the bar unless you have scheduled tasting.

Our driver, Belkis, was excellent. She was informative, courteous and patient. The van was clean and she repeatedly asked if everyone was comfortable. We went to 3 distilleries - Four Roses, Buffalo Trace and Stitzel-Weller. All very different distilleries but all good. Buffalo Trace has a huge gift shop. The Buffalo Chase bourbon cream is yummy. The Buffalo chase Travelers is really good mixed with ginger ale. The Four Roses Small Batch bourbon is very good. We learned a lot about the bourbon making process.
