My daughter and I really enjoyed this activity - it checked off all of the fun boxes. I was nervous about zip lining, but Guachipelin Adventure definitely prioritized safety and I felt comfortable and safe the entire time. There were more people than I expected, but they moved us through very efficiently. I would definitely recommend this excursion.

We went as a family of 6 - from my adventurous parents (in their late 70s), to our youngest daughter who is 9, and it was an absolute blast. The staff and guides were excellent and supportive. Our favourite experience was definitely the water tubing through the rapids - both beautiful and thrilling!

Best time ever!! The entire staff was safe and efficient. The zip line went quickly and smoothly. The horse ride included a beautiful waterfall. Lunch buffet was better than expected. Tubing was the funnest part but get ready, this is no “lazy river” ride!!

The zip lining was awesome, the tubing was incredible, the horse back riding my kids really enjoyed (just make sure you hold on tight someone in our group but not traveling with us fell off, got hurt and had to go to the hospital). The lunch buffet was decent. The Hot Springs/Mud bath was neat. They picked us up right from our Air B and B. Only complaint we have is that it felt rushed…we had under an hour at the hot springs to change/enjoy because the driver wanted to head back because of traffic being poor. I realize we can’t help the traffic but we didn’t like being rushed. We payed a lot of money to be there but the actual excursions were amazing and well worth the money.

I have traveled the world and done countless excursions, but nothing compares to this experience in Costa Rica. It was, quite simply, one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. From the moment you arrive, you are treated like royalty. The organization is flawless; we never stood around for more than a minute. They keep you hydrated and refreshed with pineapple, watermelon, and water between every activity. • Zip-lining & Canyoning: The canyoning was a first for me, and it was stunning. Photos truly do not do the canyons justice—it is breathtaking. • Tubing & Horses: River tubing was amazing, and the horseback riding was great (just a heads up: the horses have a mind of their own and go at their own speed, so don’t expect to stay perfectly with your group!). • The Pace: Each activity lasts about an hour to 75 minutes, which felt perfect. • The Relaxing Finish: Ending at the hot springs was the highlight. They have about six pools of different temperatures, a mud bath, and even river access. As a Hispanic person, I’m a tough critic when it comes to a buffet, so I’d say the food was just "okay"—but the rest of the day was so spectacular it didn't even matter. I almost forgot for my husband and I we had the option to pay $50 and have every single moment of our trip captured. We ended up with 135 pictures absolutely worth the price. If you’re on the fence, book it! This is coming from someone who usually complains about the smallest inconveniences, and I had a flawless time. !!!!

The bus ride to the jungle is not for the faint of heart or the easily motion sick! It is a bumpy, hilly, winding ride, and the buses are of the smaller variety where you feel it all. We were OK with some gravol. During the ride, our guide, Harry, was really helpful at preparing us for the events of the day, and explained what we would be needing and when. Upon arrival, we were set up with our harnesses and pretty quickly went on our way to the ziplines. This was a lot of fun with really nice views, but we felt very rushed from one platform to the next. It all happened so quickly and the staff at each section were really trying to hustle us along. I would have appreciated a bit more time in between zip lines to take in the view. Next was the horseback riding. The trail that the horses walk on was very rocky and dusty. If you were near the back of the pack, you were stuck inhaling the dust and dirt kicked up by the horses in front of you. A few times, the horses slipped slightly on the dusty rocks, which made the experience a bit scary. At one point, one of the horses stepped on a rogue branch that snapped, whacking and spooking another horse, who booted a woman off its back. She was taken away to the hospital, leaving us all feeling pretty unsettled. The rest of the ride was tense. I think this part of the experience would have been improved if the horse trail was a smoother path. Next, we went tubing down the river. This was by far our favourite part and a lot of fun. It was easy to stay upright, even on the rougher rapids. There were also nice, smooth parts where we slowed down and could enjoy the scenery. Next, we were taken to the park's restaurant for lunch. It blew our expectations! The food was delicious. It was buffet-style, which we appreciated. We were taken back to the park entrance where we were given the opportunity to purchase photos that the staff took during our adventure. The photos were $25 USD per person. They were well worth it! We got some great shots which we were really happy with, since we didn't take our phones with us on the zip line or tubes. Finally, we were taken to a hot spring spa at another location. It was quite busy, but enjoyable. Towels were provided which we appreciated. There was some kind of festival happening on this day and our guide was very concerned about hitting a lot of traffic. For this reason, our trip to the spa was cut a bit short. We only had about 45 minutes to enjoy it (including the time it took to put on/take off our swim suits) before we were to go back and meet at the bus. It would have been nice to enjoy this for longer. Overall, we had a lot of fun on this experience, but left feeling we wished we had chosen a different one. We were longing for a bit more information about what we were seeing in the jungle or on the bus ride, such as facts about the flora and fauna, Costa Rican society, etc. We felt as though we could have done this experience anywhere, and nothing about it was especially "Costa Rican". As well, being so rushed from one experience to the next was an unpleasant feeling. Despite being back by the time the guide wanted us to, we still hit a lot of traffic on the way back, and wished we had just gotten to enjoy the full experience rather than having a panicked feeling to make sure we are back at the bus on time.

We had so much fun on this combo tour! Our tour guide was very knowledgable about the area, we learned so much on just our drive up to the park. Our driver/guide did not do any of the activities with us but it was great because he was there upon the completion of each and we were able to jet off to the next without waiting for everyone else in the large park tour to catch up. The river tubing was so much fun! And so was the zipline! Only downside was the conditions of the horses on the horseback ride, they were not in very good condition and it really showed (very skinny and malnourished looking). Things to note on the tour: They do stop halfway on the drive for coffee and breakfast/snacks if needed. You do not need to pack a tour (one is provided at the hot springs) Theres not really a need for closed toe shoes, the horse back riding is at a snails pace and the saddles have leather to coverings on the stirrups. And they are definitely not needed for the river tubing.
