What To Expect
Parque Nacional Rincon de la Vieja
We will begin this incredible adventure walking across 16 hanging bridges, then we will do a wonderful canopy that will consist of 7 cables, the view will be majestic, after this we will immediately take a quiet horse ride through the forest, continuing with our tour, but this time getting to know the culture of Costa Rica we will be sharing Costa Rican snacks, the famous trapiche, as well as the presentation of an artisan, finishing this activity we will proceed to change to get a little wet and take the water slide that has a length of 1240 feet, followed by a delicious buffet lunch . Phase 2 will begin with a tractor ride to the beautiful waterfall called salitral, this will a short hike, at the end of this slight walk we will take a short walk to the volcanic spa where we will find the sauna with volcanic rocks, the volcanic mud where you can apply it to your skin and see the incredible benefits, and to finish this great tour we will do the hot springs with different temperatures.

5.00The whole experience was great. I struggled a bit climbing to the ziplines due to knee surgery that isn't going so well, but I was determined to get there. It was so worth it. And we saw monkeys on the hanging bridges!

5.00Great excursion but lots of walking. If you have bad knees, back or hips this one is not for you. Walked about 17 extension bridges, 7 zip lines, tubing, horseback ride and hot springs. Delicious buffet lunch included. Our driver Mamo was amazing. Highly recommend this full day excursion. Scenery is beautiful.

3.00Park was great! Driver/“tour guide” was not. Our driver was on his phone for most of our time and gave us no real direction. We missed out on the hanging bridges because he dropped us off and didn’t provide us any information. His van was very small for the number of people in our group. He was driving on a spare tire which felt very unsafe provided the terrain. He left us at the park and drove around to try to find a new tire. We saw many good tour guides with their groups so I recommend finding another group to visit the park with! The park itself is amazing and very family friendly. If you get motion sickness, pack some meds for the drive!
